I'm the above PP
Fwiw, my husband is a surgeon and I find your subject line really strange. My husband doesn't get special treatment because he is a physician.

Mighty meal male poster again. Wow, so much better than territory. I’m actually excited about the food. What a time to be alive!

Easy proteins:

-Pork tenderloin. Roast in oven, should last a few days as the protein with a bagged salad/grain.
-Premade meatballs, bake in oven, eat as meatball sandwich. Assemble at work so it doesn’t get soggy and I suppose he can microwave the meatballs
-pulled pork/chicken—prepare in instant pot and coat in bbq sauce or mayo, easy sandwiches or salad topping

Buy those disposable plastic tubs for lunch—pack and toss

Come on, you can reuse these and not throw out plastic every day.

I would like a lunch idea for a teacher . Is it different?

His work is not near a WF.

Realistically, he won’t prepare. I prepare stuff for breakfast and kids lunches. And dinners. So I don’t have bandwidth to prep.

*if I prep, or have leftovers, that would be the go-to.

But what about busy weeks? Thanks.

Is your husband a adult? Have him make his own lunch or go out. WTH? I would never ever do this and I have a very happy marriage. However again ADULT

Yes, as a teacher you only get apple cores, pencil shavings, half-chewed baby carrots, and a sad expired yogurt lurking at the back of the faculty lounge fridge!

I am also a teacher and I like to bring 3-4 hard boiled eggs (to eat with mustard), carrots and hummus, an apple or pear, salted nuts, and a piece of chocolate or candy. Filling and gets me through the day!

Each Sunday, make a pot of grain (I like farro or brown rice) and a pot of protein (I would do lentils or some type of bean, but could also be shredded poached chicken or hard-boiled eggs or whatever). Each morning, add a bit of each to a Tupperware. Add some lemon juice and EVOO plus salt and pepper, or a bit of whatever dressing/sauce you like. Add whatever chopped vegetables you have, plus some lettuce (I like arugula and micro greens), plus something fun (dried fruit? nuts or seeds? some type of cheese?), and maybe something crunchy (pita chips? tortilla strips?). And you're done.

I would not pack lunch for my spouse but for myself:
Like the above poster I make grains (brown rice and quinoa); steam a bunch of veggies (broccoli spinach carrots etc) and have various proteins around and nuts. The big trick is the sauce. Tahini lemon garlic sauce makes this very good. Or various versions. I have also purchased some fresh made dressings from chopt. Then it’s mix and match. One day might be shrimp and cheddar with a spicy green dressing, or more veggies and tofu or chicken with tahini based etc.

My other go to is a turkey sandwich with avocado.

OMFG.

I’m a female physician and this post says so much about gender disparities in medicine. The day the male spouse of a single one of my female physician friends and colleagues even thinks to equip her with a week of lunches she doesn’t have to think about or buy (on top of having every dinner and kids lunch prepared by said spouse) is the day pigs fly.

This is quite literally an unimaginable luxury to me on par with a chauffeur and personal masseuse—which you are probably are also.
