Is it better to marry someone 5-10 years older than you?

Yes but not 10 years

I was unaware of this statistic, but it doesn't surprise me. Sometimes, those years are like dog years. DH was 6 years older than I, passed away at 61 (just as his mother had), leaving me with 2 teenagers.

Even though younger, attractive female finds aging, balding, low tested middle age man disgusting and unattractive?

+1 geez, why do these men keep posting this sh1te.

I'm a 52 yr old female, married to a 58 yr old man. We've aged together, and I love him, but my 43 yr old self would not find him physically attractive, at all.

Saggy skin and balls, please. It's like saying a 43 yr old man would fine a saggy 58 yr old woman attractive. They don't.

Women have standards in the looks department, too.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

My T is still normal, as is my hair. I have dated women 30 years younger than me, and I was attractive enough that they O'ed a bunch.

For the life of me I can’t understand why old men think the string of women they’re casually banging without commitment is relevant to sex inside marriage. It’s like they have something to prove!

I have had long-term relationships in my 50s with frequent, excellent sex. I hoped one of those was going to turn into a marriage. Some women, even in their second marriage, enjoy sex with their husband.

see bolded.

Yes, some married women enjoy sex with their husbands, but usually, they've grown old together. A young attractive woman would not find an old geezer physically attractive. She may find your bank account attractive, your house, your car, how you treat her, but she's not going to be physically attracted to an old man's body.

In my 20s, I have had men in their 40s hit on me, and it was gross.

I'm now in my early 50s, and DH is nearing 60. I love him, but his body is not physically attractive.

DH is 6 years older. It works fine for us, but in part because I had much older siblings (his age), and I understand his cultural and musical references. He is also the youngest in his family, so he's younger at heart.

10 yrs would be too much, IMO. We are starting to see retirement issues come up because of the age diff. The only saving grace is that I can also retire a bit early because we financially prepared for that.

My DH is 9 years older. overall, I would prefer to be married to someone my age - but I do love my DH. For me the big advantage is that he bought a condo in DC in 1999 (when I was just graduating from college) so by the time we started dating he had $200K in equity since real estate in DC increased so much back then.
