I burst out laughing when I read the 500 calories of milk a day. I put 1-2 ounces of whole milk in my coffee each day. Yummy and fills me up for the entire morning. I am up at five and don't start "real food" until 10am. Coffee does the trick! |
This is insane. I'm so tired of the eating disordered people who post here. |
are you the op? if not, who cares about your early morning coffee this thread is not about you |
And rude people would say that, PP. |
Coffee makes me starving!! If I drink any type Im starving by the end of the cup. |
- Stay at Home Mom (no working mom has time for all the driving to all the classes and then the added weights and running) Nope |
OP, do a food diary. Track everything that goes into your mouth; hard candies, water, snacks. I was eating 4-5 Aussie Bites (Costco mini, seeded sweet treats) and realized that each one is 150 calories! So delicious and felt like a healthy choice. Just one example.
Watch your empty calories, too—alcohol, sodas, even adding sugar to coffee or tea. |
OP, does it really matter? So you’re 5-10 pounds heavier than when you were 30. You already eat really healthy and seen to enjoy treats which is totally fine - have some joy! You exercise, you’re healthy. So what? |
It wouldn’t matter if she could be sure she was going to hold steady at that weight but things tend to keep getting worse when the cause is hormonal changes/muscle tone atrophy. |
No, I've always worked FT and I have an intense job (financial services) however I outsource almost all of the house maintenance and my H is very hands on. I run very early in the morning (6 am) twice/week, weather permitting, and lift weights once a week. I switch between a barre, solicore or pilates class once a week, usually in the weekend. When I WFH and don't have to be on zoom for meetings, I'm on the bike. I don't watch any TV/Netflix/HBO etc and don't travel more than 15 minutes for classes. When my kids were small, I used to run with them in the stroller and do weights at home when they were napping. We're also hardcore hikers and our boys were basically raised on the trails. My H and boys were/are D1 athletes. |
Yes, it is. It's about all of us! Are you fat? I'm not. |
No I am not fat but thanks for asking. ![]() |
Star answer. Burn on the anti-healthy poster. This thread is becoming as ludicrous as the SAHM attack threads (its starting to become one of those...) |
You sound like you're in need of calming down. This thread was started by a 37 yr old woman who is outlining her diet in the hope people can help her. You arguing about your diet is not really relevant or helpful to her. |
Agree. Plus the OP obviously does not eat like this every day or she would not be gaining. Fat gain/loss is the same at every age. You eat too much you gain, you eat below maintenance you lose. No rocket science. Obviously, OP, you have been eating more than you are burning so you gained. If you want to correct that, do the opposite. Download MyFitnessPal and start tracking every single thing you eat. It will be eye opening. Then make the changes you need to make to actually lose. And dont use age as an excuse. The only reason people have to eat less as they age to not gain fat, is that they move less and let their muscles atrophy. Age per se is not the driver. So do some strength training and add some walks and I assure you that in combination with a reasonable calorie intake you will lose the extra fat without any issue. |
