I agree with you.

What will the unions do if the Board hires her? Any chance that they will strike?

I hope they do!! how can DCUM support that? because clearly the BOE isn’t listening….

Are they getting better at keeping things quiet or will McKnight automatically get the job because they really didn't do a deep search into anyone else?

I wonder that too. Everything is behind the closed doors now. No transparency at all.

And Jack Smith works for the consulting firm for the Superintendent search. Hmm.

Was he part of this assignment? Talk about a major conflict of interest.

The article linked above said no he wasn't working on this assignment.

5 more years and I am out of the hellhole of woke-ness. My dad retired from MCPS in the late 90s when it started going downhill and all that mattered was lowering standards to make the lower achieving students look better.

McKnight is the worst ever. No regard for academics.

The teachers union won’t strike. Maryland is a no strike state and the union can’t sanction or organize a strike without major consequences.

The teacher union should lobby Annapolis against that one. It’s called freedom of speech.

Why hire someone that has proven she not up for the job? We tried her as Superintendent. Dr. McKnight made a lot of serious errors. MCPS is a train wreck. Why give her the permanent job?

Can we do a “sick” day then? Cuz this doesn’t make me feel good…..

The lesser of all evils? Who knows how the other three finalists performed at the second round interviews.

She's excellent and learned from the best. We would be very lucky if she takes the job.

This poster is correct. It is illegal for government workers to strike.

Don't recall strikes listed in the first amendment protections.

Teachers can certainly protest and lobby.

The union may not be able to organize it- but what if the teachers organically do it themselves? That’s one way they can advocate without getting the union in trouble.

I don’t know anything about her but Weast, Starr and Smith are like a murderer’s row of superintendents. She hardly learned from the best. She learned from the inept.

I feel sick days coming on. How well did that work for MCPS in January?
