Skinny moms

I’m naturally thin (genes, not any sort of accomplishment on my part) but I do get a bit envious of moms with young children who look perfectly put together. I lack both the sense of style and the motivation to try! So I’m always in athleisure and no makeup, and always feel like I look a little frazzled.

Yes I'm jealous of naturally thin people who can enjoy food and just not eat a ton of it. Or they eat plenty but have a rocking metabolism. Lucky ducks

I am size 2. 5'1" , 105 pounds. All muscle as I have always been an athlete. I love the way I look, and so does my husband. I did gain 22 pounds in pregnancy, though, and he thought I was adorable.

If you eat healthy and exercise, you look like what you look like. I tend to think it is mostly genetics.

Please tell me the person who thinks height isn’t relevant to dress size is a troll. You think a size 8 lady who is 8 feet tall looks fat because she’s not size 2? Lol.

Ugh I used to be a size 2-4 before my twin pregnancy. I’m 9 months pp and this is making me feel depressed.

No. I’m 5’5 and 115 pounds. Any thinner and I would look awful. I need to gain 10 pounds. I would be much healthier at 125.

I never met an 8 ft lady, not even 7 ft for that matter. Anyway sizing is inconsistent among brands. I’m anywhere from a 00 (Madewell dress), 0-4 in J Crew, to a 6 in Lululemon. I’m 5’7”.

9months postpartum is when I started dieting each time. Just finished losing 40lbs after baby #3 in about 6 months. You can do it! Start now and feel transformed by Fourth of July!

This is a junk graph. I have plenty of vintage 1950s/1960s skirts and they are all marked size 10 for a 27” waist. Your source is from the UK which further complicates things. I get your point but vanity sizing is not that ridiculous.

What is your point? Are you disagreeing that dress size isn’t related to height such that taller people can’t be larger in dress size without looking fat? Are you saying that can’t be true because dress size varies among brands? Are you saying size 8 is fat for anyone within 2 std deviations of the average height (ie like under 5’10)?

I’ll try to chime in on all the previous topics

No, bc I’m size 2-4.

Round butt, lots of weights, lots of squats, lunges, curtsies, etc.

And Size 8 IS Heavy. I used to be a size 8 and it’s not skinny, not fun to buy clothes for that size.

No, I am not jealous of skinny moms. I am not skinny (I'm average to thin). There are very few people in general, including celebrities, where I am jealous of their body type.

+1

I'm going to say no because I work hard on loving my body and accepting all bodies as beautiful. And I'm a size 2 so it's a bit wild that I have to do this at all.

Size 2 is the perfect size (not trolling)

Perfect size for who? Someone who’s 5’1?

Nope. 5’9”

You’re telling me these size 8 women are heavy/fat? They look fit and healthy to me.

These size 2 ladies look a bit thin.
