What is wrong with you? You are sick. It was a golden retriever puppy for gods sake. You are going to defend someone shooting it. Get a life.

No, dog owners who have zero regard for other people are the sick ones. If you're shooting a dog lunging at you, especially off leash (or on some moronic retractable clothesline) then you do what you do to protect yourself. If you can't be responsible for your animal at all times, then don't get one. I say this as someone who's never owned or shot a gun in my life. I'm so tired of irresponsible dog owners, and I'm sure there's much more to this story.

I am op. This is NOT what happened! You need to stop rebutting the actual story with other scenarios!!!!

Anonymous wrote:Maybe an overreaction but DH was attacked by a leached golden in my neighborhood. The owner said she was aware he was aggressive but he pulled away from the leash suddenly and took a big bite out of DH before she could pull him back. I really believe there is another side to this story.

Op here. Your dh's story is NOT THIS STORY> Stop with making shit up!!!

I don’t hate dogs. You should never judge based on emotions. Facts matter.

( op) Do you not believe the police? The police are saying this was unprovoked. Please stop talking about other stories that have nothing to do with this case.

You and your fake compassion are tiresome. You clearly need professional help. For the sake of poor people around you (and poor dogs), seek one.

Anonymous wrote:That dude was out at 11 pm by himself with a gun approaching a woman walking alone. He was up to no good. I’d bet he didn’t initially see the dog, freaked when the dog growled, then freaked when he shot the dog. That dog maybe saved the woman from murder or rape with his growl.

And you know this based on the description from the article?

Sergeant Steve Reaume with Silent Witness asking for the public's help to find the shooter, a man in his 20, 5'5" tall weighing about 140 pounds and wearing blue jeans and a hoodie.

There seems to be part of the description missing….

As much as I try to be patient for the two sides of a story, what is a guy doing approaching a woman he doesn't know in the late evening hours? I live in an urban area, so I cross paths with a lot of neighbors and strangers at night, but I would freak if a random guy came at me if I lived in a suburban neighborhood at 11 PM and can imagine even my small dog would growl.

Not up to anything good, something none of the "more to the story" dog blaming fantacists have addressed. Eat was this guy doing with a gun closely following a young woman through the streets of a residential neighborhood at night? Personally I think he was nervous and used his gun because the dog screwed up his plan of whatever he wanted to do to the owner.

And...if you watch the video, the shooter even apologized to the dog owner so I'm not sure what is in dispute about who the aggressor was in the scenario. I really had no idea there were so many wacko dog haters! You all should get a golden. The companionship might help you chill out.
