Each school determines their own pool now? I didn't know that.
NO. The central committee decides the overall in pool score.

Last year they changed it. If your kid is at a school with level IV (either local or center), the committee decides the pool score for your school. If your kid is at a school without any level IV, the pool score is the county-wide one, also decided by the committee.

It's part of changing based on the consultant report from 2 years ago.

This sounds familiar to me as what came out of that report. Of course just because a school with LLIV can have a different pool score from the overall, I am not sure how often that actually occurs. (Our ES doesn’t have local level iv still)

Maybe one school accidentally mailed out the scores too soon.

Are you sure about this? Our school has local level IV but the AART said nothing about a school/specific pool.

Our AART at our center (also our base) said "the cut-off score for our school" at the levels of service meeting. It just so happened to be 132, which is what the county cut-off also is.

I also remember this from last December where Pekarsky voted to use building norms plus national norms (so if your building cut-off somehow would actually be 140, the kids 132-139 are still in-pool):

Who determines the building norms--the school or the county?

We saw the report card on SIS today. I was hoping to also see cogat score but not yet. Anyone other than OP saw the score on SIS or in mail?

Are CoGAT scores out or not?
Anonymous
