The testing window was from Oct 12 to 22. Our schools coast was on 13, 14 and 15. I am hoping the scores will be out by early next week for our school then.
Our AART also said to be in the pool the cutoff score was 132. |
| Maybe it will be on sis on Friday |
| Is this a troll? Only 1-2 people have received? |
Only one parent received it by mail. May be it’s a troll! Knowing that parents are eagerly waiting for the scores. |
Well, I can’t post any pictures here… I forgot to mention that the info of CogAT letter seems different from the one that I got a few year back for my oldest. It has “ability profile” which I think seems useful. |
| What is an ability profile? |
https://www.riversideinsights.com/apps/cogat The report has a designated number with letters depending on the scores and then you can put that info in the link above. |
Same zip, no scores. |
| Are the scores sent out by the individual schools, or central FCPS? |
At least in the past it was central. Who knows now. |
By school. At first, I thought it was a report card( which I haven't seen in the mail yet, but on SIS) |
NO. The central committee decides the overall in pool score. |
Last year they changed it. If your kid is at a school with level IV (either local or center), the committee decides the pool score for your school. If your kid is at a school without any level IV, the pool score is the county-wide one, also decided by the committee. It's part of changing based on the consultant report from 2 years ago. |
Are you sure about this? Our school has local level IV but the AART said nothing about a school/specific pool. |
I am pretty sure that there is an in-county pool for the county wide AAP program, and that is normally set at 132. That is what is used for the central committee review and for appeals. Local Level IV have their own screening processes and scores that are set at each school for entry to the Local Level IV program. This happens after the central committee meets and appeals are determined. |
