If this is true, would it be silly for them to get a warrant to get her phone unlocked and drive around to suspect locations to see if they receive a Bluetooth connection? |
That's essentially what they've been doing but in a more efficient manner. They have a bluetooth signal detector that's trained to pick up on her pacemaker in a helicopter that's flying slow and low over houses in the area. |
Savannah keeps addressing some mystery kidnapper. Did she get a credible ransom letter with proof of life? I think she believes her mom is still alive and she can charm the kidnapper (who may be infatuated with her) into giving her mom back. It’s so sad |

On Reddit, someone noted a Google search for the name Nancy Guthrie on the day before and day of the kidnapping. Prior to that, there were zero searches for the name Nancy Guthrie

Explanation on how that's not how Google works: https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueCrimeGarage/comments/1r3xtc5/there_was_one_search_for_nancy_guthries_name/ |
This is what I have read regarding pacemakers. However, my friend said with her mother's pacemaker, they had to determine how long it would continue working should the pacemaker detect no heart beat. They decided on 5 minutes. My friend is ultra wealthy, so are there different grades of pacemakers with an option of a more costly one allowing the person or family to decide in advance how long it will keep working after the heart stops beating? |
+1. What a disgrace to attack the family. |
Yep, everyone is different, and there is no right or wrong amount of time. I have a co-worker who was the only survivor of one of the most horrific crimes you can even imagine. She came back to work after 2 weeks because it was fulfilling and helped her begin to heal. |
Exactly. If you suspect them, then fine. But just keep it to yourself rather than post it online. It is not helpful, and very hurtful when you are wrong. I wondered about them at first too, just because family is always the first to look at. But I didn’t post anything about it. It’s not like the FBI is going to say “Wow, we never thought to look into family! Thanks, internet sleuth!” |

2/16: The Sheriff says his department does not believe this was a botched robbery:

I saw this explained as well. Apparently the desert is a difficult place to dispose of a body because it is almost impossible to dig a shallow grave and there are no large bodies of water. |
The local police are the ones botching the investigation |
Or the kids are runaways who went voluntarily, often with people they meet online. |
The local police dropped their gloves on the ground all around the crime scdne in their initial search. Keystone cops. |
They seem to shift the blame to the FBI. |
