You must live in a hole. Since the beginning of time younger men have went after older women. If you are saying you can't see her being interested in the younger man, your comment still makes no sense. Not sure why race is brought up in this comment either...

I have a feeling that we all know why PP brought up race, and it's because they are racist.

Nya is hot. She was also in a good place to have a hot sexual relationship with no other strings attached (though seems like that's about to change). She also has a really nice apartment. It doesn't seem like a wild stretch of the imagination that a younger guy would find all that appealing!

She's also brilliant by the by. Some men are actually impressed and turned on by that.

Not PP and I agree that she is attractive, but her character is fairly underdeveloped on the show, and I am having trouble getting into her storyline. They need to do more with her.

Oh, for SURE. She also seems totally off on another show from the other characters. Like Seema is there having dinner with the main crew - and her only real contact is that Miranda is living in her apartment, at this point.

I do feel like I know who she is - they've drawn a character who feels familiar - but her storyline is so small and so separate from everyone else. Maybe she'll get drawn in more now that she's going to go through an emotional crisis.

Well Miranda is the only well-educated one in the group, so I can see why it's difficult to integrate Naya with the others who talk about little other than boys and materialistic crap. Miranda's social cluelessness was endearing though, and the disconnect between her professional success vs dating life mistakes was the foundation of many of her storylines. Even if Naya is sad about her divorce, she's a confident and successful woman, so then what?

That photo was of her husband with a pregnant white woman - I think she's going to go through an existential crisis of her own. Prbly come out of it realizing she doesn't want a child, but I think it's going to throw her for a while.

She seemed so comfortable about her decision not to have a child though. The final straw was his pushing a surrogate. Breakup sadness is so boring to watch, just not sure how they can develop her story in an interesting way. Unless she ends up preggers by the young guy?

I don't think that's going to happen - it's too close to Miranda's own story, for one, but also it just feels tonally off.

You can feel all kinds of certain and still be shocked, and grieve, when your former partner starts a life with someone new.

Absolutely true, just hard to see where her story will go from here. Just dating hijinks a la Miranda back in the day?

If Rosemarie DeWitte is playing Aidan’s ex, no way is it a one-minute one-off.

Carrie really doesn’t seem like the Gramercy Park type, and neither does Aidan. Agree Lisette will be in the apartment until Carrie inevitably moves back in. I really hate the Aidan storyline, so obviously rushed and headed for disaster ugh.

Ok, prediction for finale: Aidan has a troubled son, who starts acting out, ends up in crisis, and he has to choose between his family and Carrie (obvious choice). While he is struggling and torn, Carrie is in pain reaches out to Samantha, who bestows upon her whatever words of wisdom. They break up, amicably. But where will Carrie live??

Nailed it! But not sure if Samantha phone call will be about Aidan or the end-of-the-era apartment goodbye. I know KC and SJP don’t want to be in the same room but no way RL Samantha would have missed the big goodbye dinner. She would gave hopped on a plane for sure.

Yes, it was more intense than I expected. Shocking, actually. Obviously Aidan is going to have put the kibosh on the NYC trips and it would be awkward for Carrie to spend too much time in "Norfolk" with a troubled kid who hates her. Pretty obvious outcome here, but they'll leave open Caidan as the end game for the finale.

I don't think that's all they've got for her? I don't know where her story goes for her - but I actually trust it'll be worth watching. Maybe I just like Karen Pittman that much.

I am confused about Che's career. Her show didn't get picked up by why does it seem like she is having to start all over again, wasn't she a successful comic before the show, hence why they wanted to make a show loosely based on her life?
Anonymous
Also, why is Nya upset about Rashad, she didn't want to do all the things they could do to have kids, he wanted kids.

It's only human to have mixed feelings in that scenario. More like she's prickly about it rather than upset per se. I think anyone would be after being with someone for 20(?) years and they move on *like that.*

Yeah, Che was definitely presented as a celebrity. More sloppy writing, but I guess it was more the headspace THEY were in after the pilot failed. Depression, lacking confidence and motivation, needing to make more money to pay the mortgage for an overly expensive apartment they were really not in a position to buy etc.
