The writing is terrible. It seems like most of Carrie and aidens relationship happens off screen, which is a huge departure from the original series and leaves too much for granted. It’s also weird that they are so hot and heavy after not seeing each other for 20 years.

And lastly, I found it offensive for Carrie to call big a “big mistake”. Wasn’t he the love of her life? She sounds crazy. And how is Aiden just okay going into this 1000 miles an hour after she cheated on him with big, broke off their engagement, and ultimately married Big? How is okay being an obvious second fiddle? And why is Carrie saying she made a mistake not choosing Aiden the first time around? This is revisionist history!

Of course it's revisionist history. We all know that. How about you let the story play out.

NP. Wow, if you don’t want to read people’s reactions and speculations and theories before the conclusion of the season, how about YOU stay out of this thread until after the season is over? PP is welcome to her reactions and theories.

Oh good grief. The point is that the writers are not "revising history." They are showing Carrie's state of mind. Not sure what you are so upset about but maybe take a breath.

This show isn't fun or interesting with everyone rich, elitist, and shallow. Totally missing the original grit and charm.

It’s a classic jacket but it looked dumb completely buttoned up like that. It also looked a bit too small. Just odd all the way around. A bit better once partially unbuttoned.

It ... essentially has a peplum. Watching him in it was like watching a guy wear female sunglasses.

I mean, sure, and that would work on a different character. Nothing about Aidan codes as gender neutral or feminine, though. It was a clanging discordant note.

my theory is IRL he'd have worn a carhartt jacket or like, an ll bean jacket. however he is supposed to be Carrie's dream sophisticated NYC - UK-Norfolk guy...so he has to wear a barbour jacket. even though it looks ridiculous on him, as someone else pointed out, has vaguely edward scissorhands overtones

+1 that reaction was totally unhinged

Why are Carrie and Che friends after the breakup with Miranda? Weird.

They are grown ups. Imagine Miranda and Che will be friends in time as well. Plus Che and Carrie had a friendship prior to the Miranda thing.

Because Che and Carrie had a personal and professional relationship first. Because Che showed up for Carrie at Big’s funeral, they helped her get back on her feet at work, they have been there for her in many ways, just as Carrie showed up to Che’s comedy shows, and let her live in her home with the apartment swap situation that helped Che out with some income.

Lovers come and go. Why should Carrie and Che give up their already-established connection just because Che and Miranda had a rather amicable separation?

Aiden is getting ready to end things, right? Or eventually? He wasn't super enthusiastic about the house Carrie was buying for him and his boys.

Why is it laughable? And why mention his race?

You must live in a hole. Since the beginning of time younger men have went after older women. If you are saying you can't see her being interested in the younger man, your comment still makes no sense. Not sure why race is brought up in this comment either...

I have a feeling that we all know why PP brought up race, and it's because they are racist.

Nya is hot. She was also in a good place to have a hot sexual relationship with no other strings attached (though seems like that's about to change). She also has a really nice apartment. It doesn't seem like a wild stretch of the imagination that a younger guy would find all that appealing!

She’s kind of fat.

Miranda met Che through Carrie.
