I thought it was his third. He mentioned he has 3 boys in that scene.

Aiden didn’t mention three kids until the second movie where he and Carrie ran into each other in UAE
Edited to add: So I just looked it up on YouTube. It was actually Tate. Aiden didn’t say he had 3 kids either.

We don’t find out about the subsequent children until the second SATC movie when he and Carrie run into each other in Dubai.

So I wasn’t able to get through AJLT, but I did start fast forwarding through episodes to see Aiden and Carrie’s scenes, now that he’s back.

The writing is terrible. It seems like most of Carrie and aidens relationship happens off screen, which is a huge departure from the original series and leaves too much for granted. It’s also weird that they are so hot and heavy after not seeing each other for 20 years.

And lastly, I found it offensive for Carrie to call big a “big mistake”. Wasn’t he the love of her life? She sounds crazy. And how is Aiden just okay going into this 1000 miles an hour after she cheated on him with big, broke off their engagement, and ultimately married Big? How is okay being an obvious second fiddle? And why is Carrie saying she made a mistake not choosing Aiden the first time around? This is revisionist history!

Of course it's revisionist history. We all know that. How about you let the story play out.

I think she loved Aidan and Big in different ways and for different reasons. Presumable, Aidan has read her books and gained insight into her decisions, and probably also has had time to reflect on mistakes he made in the relationship. He also would have cheated on his ex wife with Carrie, so he can’t really claim the high road there.

I’m sure the relationship is doomed, but I don’t fault her for questioning what alternate path she may have taken had she married Aidan. It was a little shocking to hear her say “was big a big mistake?” aloud. Most of us would only think it to ourselves.

people revise their histories all the time. the aidan story from Carrie’s end is entirely possible. Less so from his but not impossible.

The idea of middle aged Nya hooking up with a hot younger white guy is laughable. I wish the writers would do more with her.

NP. Wow, if you don’t want to read people’s reactions and speculations and theories before the conclusion of the season, how about YOU stay out of this thread until after the season is over? PP is welcome to her reactions and theories.

The actress who plays Nya is only 37! Wow, they make her so old! Would a 37 year old be able to already be a tenured law professor?

Your reaction is over the top. The PP is just disagreeing. Maybe she likes the storyline.

OK? Then she can say that instead of telling someone not to react to a show in a thread about…reacting to a show.

Sure. Law school grad at 25, ten plus years in academia--absolutely.

Um. No. When I was in my 20s my guy friends were way into hot sex with much older women. They knew what they wanted…which was to get some and then he leaves. I didn’t get it then, certainly do now. 😂
