September 2013 Due Dates: Join us here

Anonymous
Hi Ladies.

My name is not Lola but let's call me for Lola for this. I was inspired by the Oct. 2013 thread and so decided to start my own.

I am a second timer, AMA at 39, have a 3 yr old, a husband, and a full-time job and am due 16 Sept. 13.

This pregnancy is so much easier than my first and for that, I am grateful.

I love in NoVa work downtown. In my free time I like to read and be outside. I am currently considering how early I can plant winter-hardy spring plants and how to tell my anxiety-filled boss that I"m expecting again.

Please considering introducing yourselves. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yay! Glad to see this thread! Sorry for stopping by as I'm the Oct mom OP, but I wanted to say how glad everyone's doing this (this will be the last one I barge in on -- sorry it was yours!). You'll no doubt get lots of takers but feel free to stop by the Oct thread anytime too! We have a lot in common - second kid, I'm 39 and have a husband, also love to garden (and actually do plan to plant annuals early this year as well as veggie garden to try to beat some of the heat; I'll use cloches and covers for the soil). Oh, and I like to read though I don't get too as much anymore. ARE YOU ME? Actually, I live and work in the city, so I guess not. Maybe we'll meet again on a gardening thread! I'm considering keeping the screen name for a while, since it makes the interactions more personal; though I've been on DCUM for years and was never tempted before - for obvious reasons!

Take care and have a great pregnancy. If it's annoying to have a non-Sept mom be the first reply I don't mind if you ask jeff to delete!

Thanks for writing Pepita.

I appreciate the support! I wish I would have started this earlier given that this one started out sort of rough...I didn't know I was pregnant for about 2 months. Ooops.

We do sound a lot a like. Also, to be honest, I "read" with my ears as I commute each day. Right now I"m "reading" a medical mystery. Learning almost nothing but enjoying it very much.

So today is beautiful...I think I might do the zoo.

I'm due in the middle of September. I'm surprised there aren't many responses, I read somewhere that September is one of the more common birth months. This is my first and probably only pregnancy due to some pre-existing medical problems that I have.

Welcome 17:09.

Ours was a holiday baby. Merry Christmas! Now stop drinking. I am too a little surprised that more having joined.

Good luck with this pregnancy and I hope that you enjoy every minute of it. If it will likely be your only, especially.

FTM here, due Sept. 9th. Took a month off from fertility treatments to enjoy the holidays stress-free and rang in the New Year pregnant.

I'm a bit nervous due to two losses, but I'm trying to enjoy this time and focus on positive thoughts.

You were on break from TTC when you conceived? Wonderful story. Congratulations and enjoy! Not sure when you lost the others but do you feel more confident now that you are in the second trimester? I don't. I didn't with the first either .I felt confident when I got to the third tri.

Thanks! It was a pretty amazing surprise.

I feel a bit more confident, but one of my losses was a cervical pregnancy. Having had something happen that there's such a low probability of makes me unable to take too much comfort in statistics. But I've been learning to replace the bad thoughts with a positive image, like going to the zoo or something. So so corny, but it does help.

That's tough PP. Best wishes with this one.

I love the zoo too. I wanted to go this weekend to enjoy the weather but instead went on a great hike. Wonderful!

Sept 9 due date too. If all goes well it will be the third little one for us, but cautiously optimistic too after a loss.

Congrats Ana, another Sept. 9 due date.

I wonder how summer's going to feel. I really hate being cold...and am ready.

On a personal note:

I'm telling my boss today. I"m showing. I"m 13 weeks. One of my coworkers knows b/c I said "children" instead of child and she keeps looking at my swollen belly. and, we are starting to plan for the time when I will be out. wish me luck!

Good luck telling your boss, 9:36! I haven't told my work yet, but I'm showing a little too. I'm trying to hide it a little longer, my office isn't really pregnancy-friendly and I'm dreading telling my boss.

Hi all:

Checking in. Have you started telling people? We have told family and close friends. I told boss and he took it illogically. Basically we had decided to hire an analyst to support my function. He decided that we should hold off until I come back b/c I might not come back and he might want to hire another high-level position. That means the main work of our org won't be done for 4 months. Amazing.

Anyway, after my doctor's apt tomorrow (14weeks) I'll tell others if all is well.
