That’s my belief as well. And, that he lied about never having blacked out. Or he might not know he ever blacked out unless someone brought up what happened.

Why do you believe Leland Keyser is refusing to confirm this ever took place? Ford volunteered her as her witness, after all.

If she estranged from her parents?

Well I think any men accused of sexual harassment or assault are troubled people or else why would they be accused?!

Yeah - a sexual assault -that’s what happened to her.

Of course, his accuser doesn't describe him as black out drunk.

Uh, she described them as already inebriated and presumably there were many more hours in the evening to drunk in order to reach black-out stage.

Endless speculation, priceless. Perhaps she was abducted by aliens, who implanted false memories in her brain?

I’m not sure PP knows what blackout means. It doesn’t mean unconscious. It means so drunk your memories dont encode. Most people who are blackout drunk still walk, talk, etc. They just don’t remember what they e done. There’s no way for another person to know if the person is blackout drunk—they could just say whether the person was visibly inebriated, stumbling, etc. For some people, that would result in a blackout, but not for other people.

Most of the rest of us see her as an accomplished woman, a biostatisticians and professor, with a husband and two kids and a strong reputation. No one cares about Bill Bennett.

Yes, and Kavanaugh was acting so offended that senators would imply something negative about his dear friend. What a hypocrite

Sorry, folks.

I don't like Kavanaugh. But it's just a hard fact of life that accusations without evidence about events from 35+ years ago are unlikely to succeed -- and will draw a backlash.

+1 why isn’t Bill Bennett asking why Kavanaugh is so troubled that he had to attack so many women?

Oh I know what a liar!! She wasn’t happy about those comments either.

Because it was a completely unmemoranle event to her that happened 35 years ago. I’m younger than they are and there are tons of events I don’t remember from HS. I remember there was a time when my group was hanging out with a bunch of kids from another nearby school (both small privates). There are probably people from that school I met a handful of times and. I cannot remember the name of one single person who went to that school. And if one of them were nominated for SCOTUS I still don’t think it would ring a bell. Because none of them ever assaulted me. Just not memorable enough.

Your best friend who went to a boy's house with you, would know if you were assaulted.

Typical male response.

Because he’s a 75 year old dinosaur. Basically the GOP’s core constituency.

Women MUST show up at the polls and consistently vote against the old, entitled boys club. All they'll do is protect and cover for each other.

I know you don't want to hear this, but outside of liberal bubbles (which the GOP doesn't care about anyway), women are roughly evenly divided about Kavanaugh. 54% of white women voted for Trump, knowing full well that Trump has almost certainly done far worse than Kavanaugh ever has. Your dream that a wave of angry women is going to wash the GOP out of Congress is unlikely to come true -- at least, not in the Senate.

I wouldn't be so quick to think this isn't having an impact across the political spectrum of women:

Christine Blasey Ford said she's not sure who paid for the lie detector test she took in August. Rachel Mitchell, who's asking questions for the Senate Republicans on the committee, asked her about it:

Mitchell: Did you pay for the polygraph yourself?

Ford: I don’t think so.

Mitchell: Do you know who did?

Ford: Not yet, no.
