I know you don't want to hear this, but outside of liberal bubbles (which the GOP doesn't care about anyway), women are roughly evenly divided about Kavanaugh. 54% of white women voted for Trump, knowing full well that Trump has almost certainly done far worse than Kavanaugh ever has. Your dream that a wave of angry women is going to wash the GOP out of Congress is unlikely to come true -- at least, not in the Senate. |

Oh right because if she binge drank then she is at fault for the assault on her. I wonder is she wore a short skirt? Her bathing suit was probably inappropriate. She brought it on herself. She was acting slutty. Many people binge drink and don't assault other people. Geez this is the worst of the worst attitude today and the worst kind of defense for a rapist. |

Because it was a completely unmemoranle event to her that happened 35 years ago. I’m younger than they are and there are tons of events I don’t remember from HS. I remember there was a time when my group was hanging out with a bunch of kids from another nearby school (both small privates). There are probably people from that school I met a handful of times and. I cannot remember the name of one single person who went to that school. And if one of them were nominated for SCOTUS I still don’t think it would ring a bell. Because none of them ever assaulted me. Just not memorable enough. |

+1 This is dead on. Many of these incidents just don't seem like a big deal to the perpetrators. This mentality is common among bullies as well. They often genuinely don't see what they are going as particularly awful and feel like the victim is making a big deal over nothing. Kavanaugh is probably stonewalling because he genuinely feels unfairly vilified over what he regards as mostly harmless youthful hijinx that are being blown out-of-proportion. |
