Please stop with this. People like you are ruining the lives of people who may well be innocent and are already facing unspeakable tragedy and stress. |
Bluetooth can be picked up in a buried phone or device, but I'm sure it depends on things like how deep and the soil conditions. |
| Is it verified by a reputable news source that they did not pay the ransom? Or is everyone just assuming that because we didn't hear a report that they did in fact pay? |
+1 cruel and not necessary |
Right? I doubt Savanah will be back on air anytime soon. She will need a bit to recover. Hoda came back to fill in her anchor spot. And I don't watch the Today Show normally. I just checked in these past two weeks. |
It seemed all of the ransoms were in fact fake. I feel like we should’ve known because who sends a ransom to TMZ of all places. |
There’s blood on the porch was not an urgent matter to the Sheriff which could mean it was old blood. He also in Friday’s interview said it’s not his departments responsibility to clean it up. |
If someone wants her dead, why bother actually moving her body and hiding it? Why not just make it look like she died in her sleep and leave her there? That would be much easier and believable given age, health, and the fact she lived alone. |
Scary AND frightening? Wow, it really is bad. |
Due to the ground/soil in Tucson it’s very very difficult to dig a hole without significant machinery. It is much easier to drive someone out into the desert and dump them off a small road. I once had to go someplace that was about 5-10 miles past the desert museum and it was so creepy — we didn’t see any other cars and there was just nothing for miles around with many small roads and nothing llle security cameras. You could be someplace like that within 30 minutes. I’m increasingly thinking this was a botched burglary and they drove the body out to the desert that night. Ita so awful and I’m so sorry for the family but it’s kinda better to think it was a quick death that night rather than weeks in fear and pain. |
A lot of trafficked girls are groomed by slightly older boyfriends. A 15 year old with a 19 or 22 year old boyfriend, for example. Even the local news feeds are full of missing teen girls (mostly Latina) who left voluntarily late at night—presumably to meet up with a boyfriend. I didn’t realize how common it was until a girl from my kids HS went missing and then I looked at all the posts on the local police department feed. It is really scary. |
Exactly- a 15 year old leaving voluntarily is classified as a runaway. They convince the girls to run away by grooming them, and they are able to groom them because they do not have a lot of supervision, or maybe not a lot of friends at school, etc etc. This is not blaming the girls or the families , obviously. But they target girls who will be easy to spend time with and who will be easy to convince to run away. Not girls who are the captain of the soccer team with a stay at home mom. Those girls don’t have the free time, don’t have the lack of supervision, and are enmeshed in their school/ sports community and would be harder to lure. The 15 year old who immigrated recently whose mom works 16 hours a day and who doesn’t have many friends, doesn’t play sports, isn’t a great student- that girl is much easier to lure without anyone noticing. This is awful but is there a “market”, for lack of a better word, for elderly women too? |
+100 |
No. If people want to take advantage of the elderly for financial gain it is much easier just to scam them--financial scams or romance scams. |
| Update: DNA found on glove matching subject in doorbell footage. The glove was recovered in a field by the side of the road approx 2 miles and appears to match the gloves worn by abducted |
