Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 2

I honestly think Brett has absolutely no memory of his assault. I believe he was black out drunk.

And the problem would be for the gop at the polls.

Why would he do that?

With respect to the polygraph test Dr. Ford took showing truthfulness about her account in the record. To quote a judge: “law enforcement agencies use polygraphs to test the credibility of witnesses” & the tests “serve law enforcement purposes.”

That judge was Brett Kavanaugh in 2016 case.

Clarence Thomas playbook still works....yeah #metoo but this is a GOP senate (was Dem in 91)

And I feel just like I did after the Anita Hill hearing. And my teenage DD is crying - she doesn't understand how they can put this man on the SC.

If your teenage daughter is crying it’s because of how the situation has been spun to her. My teenage daughter watched and she didn’t shed a tear.

Neither did mine.

My teen son was watching with me and said it shouldn't matter what happened in high school.

So, no matter what I say, he seeing what other white men in power are saying.

It pains me to write this.

That is really sad. At least you know, maybe you can influence his opinion. Maybe what should stick with him is that the only reason the attempted rape wasn't an actual rape is that Ms. Ford was wearing an inconvenient garment for forced penetration. FFS, I can't even believe this is real life in 2018. I have a son, I would drive him to the jail myself if I ever thought he had anything to do with a similar situation.

In all honesty, I don't know that you would. I think when in that situation, you will try to protect your son. This is why it's important for the victims to not be harassed because the perp and his family will come out swinging, and that leads to women not wanting to report it.

No, I personally would. I know many would not, but I would. Honestly, I would leave him there and wouldn't pay for a lawyer either. Maybe that's cold, but, I also have a daughter.

Kavanaugh's calendar shows when the football camp was and also refers to a gathering on July 1, where Judge was present.

July 1: “Go to Timmy’s for Skis w/ Judge, Tom, PJ, Bernie, Squi.” = likely the night in question with Dr. Ford

Safeway Encounter: Just before the football camp, which would have likely been between August 1 and August 21. The 6-8 weeks after the encounter that Dr. Ford referenced in her testimony would have fallen right around that window of time.

Football Camp: Starts August 22

This is why Judge wouldn’t testify

The Republicans pulled their "female assistant" right when she brought up this party.

The most ludicrous and transparent lie was the one about the "Renate Alums" and other Renate comments in the year book. Anyone with any sense knows exactly what that means - it means they all said they slept with her. For BK to claim it meant they "considered her one of them" is patently absurd. Give.Me.A F'ING.BREAK!!

I’m back to being as sad as I was when we elected Trump. This country doesn’t give a shot about how men treat women. I was filled with so much hope when we elected Obama and I am just so sad now. Sad to be raising my kids in this world.

Well, she is a prosecutor.

I think they pulled the prosecutor because they realized that he has no idea how to answer questions from anyone but his buddies without having a coronary.

Unfit.

Here’s what I think happened. She’s telling the truth. He doesn’t remember the night as he’d been drinking. So he honestly may believe he never did this. He was 17 and yes it was wrong and awful but nothing even close to recent has come out. I don’t think this is a person that as an adult would ever do such a thing. It’s incredibly sad on both sides. Seemed like it could’ve been handled with an apology and a I’m so sorry if when very young I drank too much and acted very inappropriately and it was wrong.

That’s my belief as well. And, that he lied about never having blacked out. Or he might not know he ever blacked out unless someone brought up what happened.

Perhaps most Libs simply pretend to work, especially those who "work" in government.
