And how’s that working for us? Oh, wait, it doesn’t. It simply doesn’t work because we have 40+% of population obese and a very sickly last generations. And to say that it’s because they’re all irresponsible slobs who made poor choices is basically avoiding responsibility as a country, as a system. |
I lived in 5 industrial countries, other than in the U.S. it is not like this in all of them!
What a thing to say! Maybe in fatso England! |
No, not content with it. It sucks that “crappy food” is in such demand. We generally avoid school lunches for our kids, and there are enough like minded people in our boundary that food outside of lunch is not allowed at school. No candy, no junk, no snacks. That part of our local system has been changed, because there was support for that change. We generally avoid “crappy food” at restaurants, outside of the occasional treat. We make better choices. But this being America where people don’t take kindly to being told what to do, what is demanded will be supplied. The system doesn’t change because people like unhealthy foods. Too many people like too much unhealthy food, in my opinion, but that is their prerogative. I make healthy choices for my family. I have the power to do that, as do you. |
The solution is to bring your own lunch |
Was it free? |
Yes, they are responsible. All of them. It’s working great for us. We feed our kids healthy meals , don’t overeat, and exercise regularly. It is completely doable to be healthy if you make it a priority. I can’t help those that don’t. But let that 40% wait for the government to make them healthier. That’ll work out just great for their health |
And many of the parents that can’t send their kids to school with lunch can afford iPhones, dogs, and other things less important than their children’s food |
It's their fault! Not the company, government, lazies that buy cell phones but have no money for food!
Typical dcum! Let them eat cake! They, they, they, they... You are too stupid, you are THEY too! |
Glad we can agree on something |
Translation: Yes, I am rich and I am educated and had time to look into this. While paying for my nails and hair to be done between the gym and a walk with friends. I have money to buy healthy food, and time to get it ready of pay someone to get it done. Real life translation: I am rich, effe off. |
Nah. We’re a nation of individuals free to make decisions regarding what we eat. You can do it, too. |
And is “I am rich and educated and therefore should make the rules about what the poor and uneducated should be feeding their families” really better? |
No, no and no. What you are writing is all utter BS, lol )))) You are the one who has to learn some very basic things. Oh, and preferably not through boards, there may be people just as ignorant as you. Are you also an anti vaxer incidentally? Into wild conspiracy theories much? Ugh, bye. |
Since you keep confusing the two, maybe go a little easy on OP then, eh? |
Again, won't take responsibility because you think eating well is only for the rich. It's so easy to blame other people - rich, government, schools, other. It is on you. Period. And yes, I work a full time job. A busy one. I don't have time for hair or nails, or the gym. Why? Because I put other things - like making food for my family - first. So I don't have time for shopping, nails and other luxuries. But you can pretend, right? I come from a family that is flanked by morbid obesity - one side is Mex-American the other small town Midwest. Both are statistically more prone to obesity than many other groups in the US. I've had multiple cousins die of obesity related illnesses and it wasn't pretty. They died before their time and refused to do anything to make themselves healthier. And nearly all my cousins and extended family are the same. It is so damn sad. IF only they had taken personal responsibility and done something about it. So you can sit around and blame the government all you want. But in the interim if people don't take responsibility for themselves they will die. Period. Take your pick. Cake or death? |
