No. She doesn't. Her kids will be fine. Ashlawn isn't some insane, garbage school. It's wonderful and you people are disgusting. When DH moves to Ashlawn, are they going to junk it up? Is that the concern?

If they put out their initial thoughts as plans they are accused of coming up with half baked plans without doing the work to back it up.
Here- they clearly spent the summer working on the best plans they could get to. They are 'showing their work' in that in the engagement sessions they are showing some other plans they thought about and why they discarded them.

This.

What on earth are you talking about?

pp is the crazy who keeps coming in here to rant about GS scores and home values, his theories of which have zero basis in reality. Best to ignore him.

Yes, the area of Dominion Hills currently zoned for Ashlawn is absolutely 300k less expensive than the McKinley part, because of that subpar education received from the ghetto school on the other side of Wilsom

Your public school education IS an entitlement, going to the school you want IS NOT.

Also, last time I checked, the school district is supposed to make decisions for the good of the county as a whole, not for the exclusive good of entitled rude rich people...

Gone are the days of six different options for the community to rank and considering the community’s preference in selecting the ultimate recommendation, instead we now get one option that they’re going to go with, one alternative designed to push people to support the intended recommendation, and an explanation for why they chose the option they’ll be recommending.

Granted, I think this is better because the community showed it can’t handle having real input in the process, but it is different.

And thank goodness for that!
In some fairness, though, I really don't think they have a lot of options to seriously consider, let alone put forward. And this week's presentation helped illustrate that when they went through the various scenarios and explained why they didn't move them forward.

This 'process' is BS, seems like yesterday they were doing the Key / ASFS swap, before that the option school was moving to Nottingham and now McKinley is the target. Has the 'data' really changed that much?

And you are 100% stupid.

Where did you learn how to do math? Your MLM “business”?

Guessing that several DWs are yelling at their DHs that “we should have bought in the 22207! They’re always safe!”

With idiot moms like that I’d be concerned about DH joining if I were a current Ashlawn parent.

Change is hard for people in Arlington.

This is such an odd statement. What are these McKinley families going through that 22206 families haven’t faced? All were ultimately talking about is the possibility of being reasoned to a different elementary school, which had happened in every zip code in the past five years.

Bingo, tried to save a free bucks, now losing big bucks and maybe need to pay for private.

Lesson learned when it comes to your family and kids don't settle or try to get a deal go for Nottingham or Tuckahoe zones

The priority for border areas ( south Arlington), is not for the North. The North remembers.
