1) I hope Aviation threw a ton of money at her. 2) please Deadpool cameo — bike messenger maybe? |
To add to this, it’s not the script that’s problematic but the way the commercial was directed. If she had looked at the Peloton with that worried look instead of the camera it would be interpreted that the Peloton is a difficult challenge. If the last scene was her husband looking at her adoringly instead of the other way around it wouldn’t be about her trying to please him. I’m going to guess the commercial was directed by a man. |

The only ones triggered by the ad are the fatties. Prove me wrong.
Such a shame that we have devolved so much and the acceptance of obesity that fitness ads now are perceived as sexist or fat shaming. |
This has nothing to do with obesity. The ad is creepy. |
| ' If you are exercising then you are not working ' is the motto in the sub fleet. |
|
Disagree. Replace the chick with a dude. It’s institutional sexism. A message to women and girls that your worth is being slim and hot. Not heathy. Hot, and spending your entire life being hot for the male gaze.

Definitely a cameo! |
| i thought the ad was fine. I got the sense that she felt a feeling of strength and personal fulfillment from it. She was thin to start and looked about the same so it wasn't a weight loss thing. She has little kids and probably couldn't fit in gym time, asked for the bike and her husband gave it to her- I'd be thrilled if I woke up to a peleton and wouldn't take it as a hint to lose weight. |
EVERY fitness brand has the weird, obsessed subculture who post incessantly about their "journeys" on social media. Doesn't matter if it's SoulCycle, OrangeTheory, Solidcore ... I do think it's the addictive personality thing, and perhaps attention seeking? |
| This has nothing to do with weight. The people in the ad come off as massively annoying. |
| I didn't get why everyone was upset. |
