"Virginia Tech has a deep commitment to respect all individuals and to value human diversity. We articulate that commitment in our Principles of Community.

Stating one’s gender pronoun is a personal decision. No one in the Virginia Tech community is required to do so."

Penny Nance's editorial was published on the Federalist website:
"My Son’s Freshman Orientation At Virginia Tech Was Full Of Leftist Propaganda
Now that I have witnessed college propaganda firsthand, I refuse to ignore the indefensible and discriminatory behavior of the liberal campus bullies anymore."

And later: "First, send screen shots, video, or your story to Concerned Women for America at UniversityWhistleBlower@CWFA.org. We won’t disclose your name without permission, but we will tell your story."

The woman is on a mission.

Concerned Women for America, in their "who we are" website section, states:

"Concerned Women for America (CWA) is the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with a rich history of over 35 years of helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy. "

Let me repeat: "bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy"

They have a right to push for that, just like Atheists have a right to push Atheism. It’s America

Separation of Church and State was a founding principal of the USA.

Ignorant nonsense. The U. S didn’t have a state Church because there were many Protestant denominations. It was meant to protect the churches. We had prayer and Bible reading in public schools until the 1960s

Wake up, dear. Even the 1960s were a long time ago.

Ah...if only America could go back to the way it was! When it was God-fearing; when God's love and will reigned from sea to shining sea; when people owned other people and women didn't have the vote!

You just captured the spirit of “MAGA”.

The place of women is primarily ascwives and mothers. Husbands represent the family unit sobwomen don’t need the vote.

People own other people today. Look at how large corporations treat employees

It's so funny...you even TYPE like an unwashed hillbilly with those backwoods opinions.

The 1950s were even much, much better. I feel so, so sorry for you that you missed them.

Careful, darling! If you go too far back, you'll morph back into either the powerless subject of a tyrant king, or a refugee whose family is seeking a better life. Or perhaps a native whose land is being overtaken.

To the original poster,

Gender pronouns are recommended for use at state colleges in conservative southern state colleges. Conservative southern state colleges are off of your list.

University of Alabama memo 2016
https://teachinghub.as.ua.edu/faculty-blog/ways-faculty-can-support-trans-students-at-ua/

University of Florida memo 2018
http://fora.aa.ufl.edu/docs/72/2018-2019/MCDA%20Proposed%20Memo10262018.pdf

https://lgbtcenter.uga.edu/site/resources/transgender

Heck, University of Georgia also offers hormone therapy.

I'm not sure why posters keep mentioning OP should
send their child to a state college in the south to get
away from the gender pronouns. That is not going to
happen.

State tax payer monies also support the state colleges
(in addition to tuition) and state tax payer monies
support the departments within the universities that
come up with the policies.

Tax payer monies at state universities help support this nonsense. A large amount of operating monies
for state universities comes from taxpayers for
colleges in state systems.

So... I'm not ever allowed to quit and find something else to do, and the large corporation can sell me and members of my family to whoever they feel like, without me having a say? Got it. Totally the same as slavery!!

Is it really THAT hard to ask what a person prefers to be called and then use that term going forward? I'm honestly baffled by this outrage at a non-issue. It takes 10 seconds out of your life and doesn't actually impact anything you do.

That’s subject to interpretation. Seperation of Church and state can mean different things

You can quit and work for another large corporation. They work people like dogs and pay them low wages while their CEOs make millions/billions.

Many slaves in the South probably lived happier lives than Amazon employees

That is incredibly offensive regardless of your policial or ideological views. I really urge you to educate yourself about American slavery.

Them Dark Days is meticulously researched and devastating

Many Thousands Gone is a good overview

Read anything by Fredrick Douglass and he will explain why you are wrong.
