Widower with three kids - am I crazy?

It actually sounds quite organic.

Lol! Wish I had an Alice.

What a wonderful example! I hope OP see this!

Joe Biden is not a good example of much tbh.

Anonymous wrote:OP here - again I’m surprised people are interested and I am put off my some of the so called experts. My update is that we are soon to be married very quietly with just family and a few friends mostly at my request. In September I had a big job opportunity that required a relocation and that really triggered some decisions. So we are getting married and I got a promotion that allows me to stay local. The children seem very happy and the oldest even put pressure on her father to marry me and he joked that I must have her on the payroll. I spend almost all of my free time with them with much of that with the children just doing normal day to day things. I definitely have an appreciation for what parents do and how exhausting it can be but there are some very special moments only a parent can experience. I am off BC and we will see what happens and hopefully soon.

Wonderful! I am so happy this worked out. Wishing you the best in your new, incredible life! Enjoy it all.

I’m sad that this now feels like a troll thread and I loved it so much. The longest troll ever!

Agree, feels fake, like a bad lifetime movie.

Because nothing ever good happens on DCUM relationship forum. Everyone on it is basically miserable and no interlopers are allowed. Misery loves company.

Hey OP! It's been a year since we've had an update. How was the wedding? How are you guys doing? I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks about you and wishing you the best!

NP- I don’t think it’s a fake. I married a widower with two young boys. We were co-workers and we became good friends and it just slowly evolved from there. I knew his children from company events which made things a bit easier. That was over 20 years ago and we had two more children and all four of them are great friends. I could see he was a great father which was a real plus.
