So in other words, you're taking a pass on answering because she's black. That's racist in itself
|
Who is she? Is she someone important? |
I've read this entire thread and nowhere have I seen any poster allege "inferiority of minorities." Could you please point that out? Thanks. |
Whatever you say. If this is you best counter-example to Roseanne, you really don't have much to work with. Make the most of it. |
That's a response? So articulate! |
Sorry, you could be talking about poor whites in Appalachia or poor urban blacks in the inner city - neither one is "my community." My community has other issues though - different ones that those in Appalachia or the inner city can't relate to, nor should they have to. The point is that I don't blame other communities for the ills of my own, and refuse to be blamed for their problems. It's called PERSONAL RESPONSIBLITY. |
We white people cant use certain words that AA people can. It doesn’t bother me that the n-word isn’t for my use; I never wanted to use it. There are phrases and insults we can’t use. I’m not upset about it. Why are you? |
I see what you're saying and I agree that we should all care about children dying, no matter their race or geographical location. Of course. However, can you tell us why crime is "disproportionately ripping apart the families of POC"? I want to know why this is. And whether you're going to blame people *other than the people living in those areas* for the disproportionate amount of crime there? Who, exactly, should be held accountable? |
I looooove to see hypocrisy called out! Too bad she wasn't actually called out on this crude comment when it actually happened. B'bye , Monique. |
But black people are free to use any slurs they like, without fear of repercussion. Why is that?

The real question is why do you accept this? |
Oh, she was called out on it all right. And wrote a column of excuses on why it's ok for HER to say it |
So you’re upset you can’t use racial slurs? Okay. |
The actual perpetrators of the crime are the ones who should be held accountable. Not all of black america. And I don't why specifically it is happening, but I want it to stop and I want my government, the government that I pay taxes to, to actively do something about it, to care about the people and stop calling it black on black crime. I want you to stop a calling it black on black crime. Because maybe if you did, you actually would care about the people that are affected. Does it make some white people to feel good to blame the black children for the suffering that happens in their neighborhoods? What does it do for you to separate yourself from those children? Do you think it's okay for poor children to dodge bullets and just say well they just should blame their circumstance? Is okay that these children don't have up to date books, or dilapidated schools? Maybe that's why the crime happens? If your learning environment is like a jail, who wants to learn there? I want MY tax dollars to help poor people. I don't mind giving them a hand out. I don't want my money going to more military, more banks or more rich people. |
Why are you so quick to accept that black people can use a racial slur against another black person? |
