I looooove to see hypocrisy called out! Too bad she wasn't actually called out on this crude comment when it actually happened. B'bye , Monique.

Probably because no one heard her. She only has 17,000 followers. I had to look her up to figure out who she is.

Oh, she was called out on it all right. And wrote a column of excuses on why it's ok for HER to say it

You’re so right. Roseanne is totally the victim. All white people are victims. To think, there was a time in this country where you could be hateful and uncivil, and spew ad hominem falsehood attacks and racial slurs, and you didn’t need to worry about losing your multi-million dollar deal on a broadcast network reaching every American home. #maga

Stay focused now. If Roseanne is wrong, so is Monique. They both used racial slurs. Only one faced repercussions.

Is it ok? Do you think she's a racist? Should she lose her job?

We white people cant use certain words that AA people can. It doesn’t bother me that the n-word isn’t for my use; I never wanted to use it. There are phrases and insults we can’t use. I’m not upset about it. Why are you?

DP here.

I object to reserving certain words for certain peoples because of equality. I don't think we should be granting different privileges for different groups when it comes to speech. Either everyone has an equal right to speech, or nobody does.

This is true be it "dirty words" or political speech.

Bullish!t. Take responsibility for the violence and crime in your own neighborhoods and stop pretending it’s everyone’s fault but your own.

This is racist thinking. All black people are responsible for anything done by any other black person? How do you know what neighborhood that poster lives in? Not all back people live in crime-filled neighborhoods.

The past few PPs have been discussing violence in black neighborhoods. Please don’t be purposely obtuse. Again I ask: what is it that blacks would like whites to do about black people killing other black people? If we speak out about it, we’re called racists. If we say and do nothing, we’re accused of ignoring the problem. What exactly should white people do about violence in black communities and why are we blamed for it? Do you have an actual answer or are you just going to continue with the PC non-answers?

WTF?! When are you going to take responsibility for white people killing each other? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF NOT ALL BLACK FOLKS LIVE TOGETHER.

No one said all blacks live together. We’re talking about neighborhoods in which there is a lot of violence, perpetuated by and against blacks. And as predicted, you have no answer for what you want white people to do about it - other than accept the blame for this violence that has nothing to do with us.

We want all people to care about all people dying due to senseless crime. To care about anyone that violence touches. Can you do that? Is that an answer for you? Not matter what your race is, your should care about black on black crime, white on white crime, human against human crime. But no one seems to care about the crime that is disproportionately ripping apart the families of POC. That's what I want white people to do. Care about little children in the hood dying like you care about the overcrowding at the JKLM schools. Care about the 13 people who were shot
in DC this past weekend. Care about the families of the nearly 4700 POC who died in PR. I mean c'mon, is it that hard to say I don't want children of any race to die due to crime and violence? And that want your government to do everything they can to put a stop to it? Nobody is blaming white people for the crime in Chicago. But some people stay with the us against them mentality.

That's why America will never be great (again?).

I see what you're saying and I agree that we should all care about children dying, no matter their race or geographical location. Of course. However, can you tell us why crime is "disproportionately ripping apart the families of POC"? I want to know why this is. And whether you're going to blame people *other than the people living in those areas* for the disproportionate amount of crime there? Who, exactly, should be held accountable?

The actual perpetrators of the crime are the ones who should be held accountable. Not all of black america. And I don't why specifically it is happening, but I want it to stop and I want my government, the government that I pay taxes to, to actively do something about it, to care about the people and stop calling it black on black crime. I want you to stop a calling it black on black crime. Because maybe if you did, you actually would care about the people that are affected. Does it make some white people to feel good to blame the black children for the suffering that happens in their neighborhoods? What does it do for you to separate yourself from those children? Do you think it's okay for poor children to dodge bullets and just say well they just should blame their circumstance? Is okay that these children don't have up to date books, or dilapidated schools? Maybe that's why the crime happens? If your learning environment is like a jail, who wants to learn there? I want MY tax dollars to help poor people. I don't mind giving them a hand out. I don't want my money going to more military, more banks or more rich people.

What do you want done to help these poor people of any color?

Gun control is the highest in inner cities
Welfare, WICA, food stamps, planned parenthood, Medicaid, etc... are available
Free birth control
Free detox programs
Free education and 2 free warm meals in school
Free college

What plan do you have for your taxes?

This! Comedians can insult people and make fun of them to get a laugh but that is totally different than the completely racist comment Rosanne made.

Well, what about black comedians that make fun of white people as a race in their stand-up routines? Is that allowed to "get a laugh?" That happens all the time.

Or what about when Chris Rock said "I want to live in a world with real equality. I want to live in a world where an equal amount of white kids are shot every month. I want to see white mothers on TV crying." That stand-up was released on Netflix right after the Florida shooting and no one batted an eye about it and Netflix never removed it, nor did Chris Rock apologize. Do you think that is okay too?

I think that what Chris Rock is saying is that if an equal amount of white kids were shot every month, something would be done about it. Rather than being racist himself, he is highlighting the racism that exists in our society that allows black kids to be murdered on a regular basis with no publicity, yet goes 24/7 wall to wall coverage over white kids being shot. He is making a social comment. Can you tell me what social commentary Roseanne was offering when she compared Jarrett to an ape?

Again, white people trying to demonstrate their oppression is a very sad sight. You don't know how well you have it.

I am not the previous posters in this above comments, but just the one that mentioned the Chris Rock. Not sure what was said before, but I am not defending Roseanne and already posted multiple times she is wrong and glad she was fired. What I am asking from above is that I understand the difference in political comments vs racism comments, but is that the same as why can black comedians make fun of white people as a race? Why can a black comedian wish more white kids could die with a crowd of laughter. Why is that allowed? You are saying because we were not once oppressed that he is allowed to say that? That is your rationale that it is okay to wish harm on white kids? That is your spin on it? Would it be okay for a white comedian to wish ill on black kids? My guess is you would be in an uproar.
And how do you know what Chris Rock means? He never made one comment about it after the fact. And if he is raging on why more black kids die, than white (like you are meaning he is saying) they are mostly at the hands of other black people, not white people and it happens daily. That is why it doesn't make the news. Same if a white kid killed another white kid. That doesn't make the news either. You are saying it makes 24/7 news? That is total BS. ALL school shootings make the news regardless of skin color and white killing a black person make the news. So I am not sure why you think there is news coverage 24/7 of a white person being shot. I have never seen that. I have seen many many news reports on the continued killings in Chicago. Obama was in office for 8 years and is from Chicago. Why wasn't anything done during those 8 years to improve things? I guess he can't be held accountable because he is black too? So it is now okay for Chris Rock to say he wants more white kids to die, because Trump or certain news outlets don't do enough for all the black on black killings in Chicago or that they are not put on the news every single night it happens? If that is what he means as a comedian, I would be curious as to what he thinks the solution should be. Or what you think the solution is Jeff, since that is your opinion of his disgusting comment. Also, why isn't anything being done about school shootings which are predominantly white? They keep happening without gun control changes, correct? Nothing is really being done and they keep happening more and more. Florida happens and a black comedian wishes more of them white kids would die and that is okay - because nothing is being done for black kid killings? That is supposed to make sense to you because white people were never oppressed?

I just don't get how anyone that says they would like BOTH sides to stop with the hate, is met with "you must be a Trump supporter" or "you were never oppressed" as the retort. It doesn't rationalize the hate and prejudice from one side over the other.

ONCE MORE FOR THE CHEAP SEATS: HE WAS NOT WISHING IT. HE WAS MAKING A POINT ABOUT WHO GARNERS SYMPATHY. AND ALSO FOR THE DUMMIES IN THE BACK: LOTS OF GRASSROOTS ACTIVISM, LOCAL ACTIVISM REGARDING CHICAGO VIOLENCE. JUST BECAUSE YOU DO NOT SEE IT REPORTED ON FOX NEWS DOES NOT MEAN IT IS NOT HAPPENING. So your idea is to demean people, get angry, and use all caps? You still didn’t answer the question. White moms were crying on tv when their kids died. The comment was repulsive to say a week after the shooting.

The news posts shock and hate stories. Inner city crime is a daily occurrence. So is trailer park meth overdoses, and even school shootings with less than a handful of deaths, are deamed the middle of a 30min news stories now.

You're just using your what-aboutism and neuro linguistic programming to try to distract people from the reality that a big Trump supporters turned out to be a rabid racist and anti-Semite.

Of course, you'll win, because you're getting paid, and we're amateurs, but what Barr wrote was a lot more vile and personal than what people like Chris Rock and Monique Judge said. Rock and Judge did not accuse specific Holocaust survivors of being Nazi murderers. Accusing a Holocaust survivor of being a Nazi murderer has to be libelous, even if Soros is a public figure. Maybe the real reason ABC canceled Barr's show is terror of a libel suit.
