And??? Are you suggesting there is a correct way to seek restitution? Are you suggesting that victims of this monster should be considering the feelings the administration that failed them? Or the families whose lives were not turned upside down by LAMB? The more LAMB parents speak, the worse LAMB looks.

Actually I think the people who have identified themselves as LAMB parents have been pretty reasonable. I venture to guess it’s the randos from other schools, Virginia, Maryland and god knows where else that are posting a whole lot of crazy in this thread.

IDK, lamb parents already had a few posts removed because they claimed what a prek3 parent alleged to have said about the move wasnt true. The more they talk, the worse they look. Keep it up, bozos. One of your own already said she was angry at the victims' parents for suing. Doesn't get any lower than that.

LAMB parents -- calm down. You're not doing your school any favors. You should be ticked at your board for not doing anything sooner. Dont be mad at people on a forum who are wondering what the impact a potential large judgment would have on the school.

Yeesh.

Yeah don’t be mad at the rubberneckers who have no stake in this except trolling and idle speculation!

You mean taxpayers who fund the school?

Thank you. These LAMB folks act as if they are a private institution run on a private endowment. They aren't. It's completely reasonable that DC residents (like me) and DC taxpayers (like me) are interested in this situation.

Go ahead and tell yourself that. We will continue to see you as a terrible rubbernecker who makes ignorant pronouncements. The children are safe, the involved parties have been fired or jailed, and the school will move forward.

You seem mentally unstable.

Your lack of self awareness is... unsurprising. Seriously, go find someone outside your bubble to talk to work an open mind.

Can we lock this thread? Now it's just mostly someone shouting insults.

Jeff could lock it but the next time there is a development in the lawsuit or the Kingsbury thing or the principal’s supposed firing, etc a new thread will appear and this will all start anew. It might be better to keep this open and have it all corralled in one spot.

In hindsight, what have we learn from this terrible situation that can be applied to other schools? What things should have been done differently?

New schools need rock solid written policies and procedures and ongoing training from day 1, for all staff that has contact with kids (admin, teachers, aides, specialists).

Schools need to train all staff on their responsibilities as mandated reporters.

School staff should not be allowed to offer tutoring, enrichment lessons and so forth to students enrolled in the school. Parents should be apprised of this policy in the student/family handbook.

Teachers should not be able to excuse / take students out of aftercare for 1:1 work.

All staff positions should be required to be posted publicly, and a team of teachers and administrators should interview all candidates for positions that will work with children.

The principal was fired in December.

Most of this is just a bundle of half truths and misinformation. The thread should be locked.

Fernandez supported Hillary. After he found out that she defended that perve who raped a 12 year old in her old trial lawyer days. Attempt to conflate Trump with wanting justice for children violated by Fernandez and his enablers is your epic failure of the day.

And with this ... the thread has jumped the shark.

Woah, posts on DCUM can be deleted??! I had no idea since most of it is such a shitshow. Crazy. I thought there was literally no moderation at all. This thread is only one case in point.

Stop trying to turn this foodfight into some kind of actually rational reasonable thread. Everyone on here is basically just shouting, or trying to hold up a food tray to protect themselves from flying ketchup. So to speak.
