The poors are no longer allowed at VDA. Unless the pathway is to RL. VDA families are also cut from the cloth of Royalty. If you dont drive an ev or land yacht you are not part of the cool kids.

On the matter of “cherry picking”. You do realize the FVU U19 and U17 rosters have been turned over twice through the years? Meaning, like the entire roster has been replaced twice basically. Although they’ve not exactly been, Cherry picked, very few of those players originated at union. The once elite U16 FVU team is full of players from other clubs and are mediocre now. The FVU U15 is a really bad team and also full of players from other clubs, including VDA. FVU U14 is the prototype for success in the younger age groups. Talk to me when they are 16 and can’t muscle everyone off the ball and playoff puns and set pieces.
FVU U13 are 90% McLean and a great U13 team.

No comment on MV. Everyone knows the deal with MV and KJ. Leadership of the historically bad Fairfax brave thrown a lifeline due to politics to combine with Union and have now ran that into the ground. FAIRFAX BRAVE WAS LITERALLY THE WORST ECNL PROGRAM IN THE UNITED STATES.

BP was handed the keys to the kingdom, but he is running with it, and VDA brass are staying out of his way.

And im not letting this go. Again if FVU 15s suck then so do then VDA 15s and the coaches that got them to the playoff couch. Considering now that we know they are moving down a year what is this prototype that you speak of. In all honesty US soccer bailed you out of a problem which makes this more of an opportunistic venture than development of talent. If that team of older kids ends up middle of the pack CW/MV need an apology.

Union 15s are bad. They’ve never beaten Arlington, Richmond, or Vda. Ever. Have they ever beaten NVA? Negative goal differential.

What about full scholarships to elite academic institutions? Those allowed for the poor William kids? There are a few of those at Vda right now.

I haven’t been putting FVU 2011s down on this thread (I haven’t posted on this thread before) but whoever keeps saying that FVU is right behind VDA 2011s just cause they’re back-to-back in the ECNL app is doing fuzzy math to make themselves feel better. First, a 4-2-3 result is a lot different than 3-5-1, and check out the goal differential! Plus VDA has hung with top teams at tournaments and showcases while FVU went to WAGS (not the girls fault but their coaches’ fault), but the results show up in the rankings. And yes rankings aren’t the only thing that get your DD recruited but they certainly bring eyes to the field to your DD’s field. Anyway, trying to be polite as possible cause I have nothing against FVU but stop trying to equate the two teams.

The 12s are second and oh boy will they be a different team next year when the star moves to another club. The whole team exists to feed one stellar player. Without her they’re even worse than the VDA 12s. Who they couldn’t even beat!

MV is not a coach. He has a team manager skills.

Im not trying to be polite. And im not drinking the copium you are sipping. Both teams put the mid in the mid Atlantic. Try as you may to separate them. You cannot. Your pride gets to sit next to you on the postseason couch. No fuzzy math needed. You are probably sitting on your couch sipping copium reading this. Posters got obliterated on here for suggesting FVU did something special by hanging with a top team for half a game. You get no passes here. Whether it be lack of coaching, gelling, skills or the much ballyhooed carpools. You guys had the exact same fate as FVU and Beach. Please save the mental gymnastics. That only makes you at war with yourself. Reach the acceptance phase and move on.

You do make me wonder how that team would’ve fared with better coaching, full practices and actual hunting of competition vs FVUs need to hide them. Which is absolutely strange I might add. Maybe they end up ahead of VDA or are the black horse team that wins the Atlantic (where is DB btw). Alas… new coach will hopefully get that ship turned around.
