Is VDA the best club to get recruited from?

Like the “Island of Misfit Toys” from the Rudolph claymation Christmas movie. At least when colleges reject these players they already know what rejection feels like, so it’s good practice.

They will never be VDA. Or even sniff the same air as BP except when we have to let them come play on our pitch for a weekend.
Everyone else’s rejects? Broken spirits?? ROFLmao 2012s are #1 and 2013s are #2. And the 11s are only one game behind VDA. Please stop with the troll posts my guy/gal/ai. The colleges will decide utilizing their own assessments and bodies of work. Not instagram posts and meaningless ID call ups.

There are definitely no broken spirits. And no FOMO vibes at FVU.

CW has more game knowledge in his right toe than BP. And MV could outplay him on the pitch today. Expect the same results next year. Maybe even better results with a new coach.

You guys are hilarious. Between the power rangers recruited “super” teams and the BY/SY teams inherited teams (which honestly doesn’t feel fair) what are you actually developing. More like cherry picking talent from other clubs hard work. Maybe those “pathways” should lead to Fairfax. Players would at least have a real shot at making a team.

The 12s are second and oh boy will they be a different team next year when the star moves to another club. The whole team exists to feed one stellar player. Without her they’re even worse than the VDA 12s. Who they couldn’t even beat!

This is rich! see VDA 09 team, kick the ball to the two National Team players, they will make it look like your midfielders and back line can pass LOL. When those two were missing the team was Mid Tier ECNL club. A lot of those girls will be exposed when they get to college. Watch them pile up in the portal or drop out of soccer to transfer back to that school you were bashing....JMU.

The addition of 2 players changer the entire reputation of the club? Wow!

MV is not a coach. He has a team manager skills.

Transferring to JMU because you can’t cut it in college soccer is adding insult to injury. Imagine being terrible at sport AND THEN going to a community college. Hope daddy is rich.

Man, people really don't like JMU on this thread! I know their school colors look like a bruised banana, but do they really deserve all this bashing?

On the matter of “cherry picking”. You do realize the FVU U19 and U17 rosters have been turned over twice through the years? Meaning, like the entire roster has been replaced twice basically. Although they’ve not exactly been, Cherry picked, very few of those players originated at union. The once elite U16 FVU team is full of players from other clubs and are mediocre now. The FVU U15 is a really bad team and also full of players from other clubs, including VDA. FVU U14 is the prototype for success in the younger age groups. Talk to me when they are 16 and can’t muscle everyone off the ball and playoff puns and set pieces.
FVU U13 are 90% McLean and a great U13 team.

I have sympathy for you. Your faith in CW makes it sound like you think it’s 2016. It’s not.

No comment on MV. Everyone knows the deal with MV and KJ. Leadership of the historically bad Fairfax brave thrown a lifeline due to politics to combine with Union and have now ran that into the ground. FAIRFAX BRAVE WAS LITERALLY THE WORST ECNL PROGRAM IN THE UNITED STATES.

BP was handed the keys to the kingdom, but he is running with it, and VDA brass are staying out of his way.
If the 15s are a really bad team with girls from VDA and other clubs and they are only one game behind the current VDA 15s. Then that means omg the VDA15s are also a really bad team. Be careful Pepper-age farm remembers the team that last took the 2011s to the playoffs.
Now scattered in the winds of IDs and BY/SY changes.

Both teams have some strong players and talent. Turn down the trolls levels. And VDA took a player from that oh so horrible FVU team.

Relax pal. Take a breath and go take a walk and hug a labradoodle or a pug. Yea a pug should take edge off. Definitely go get a pug and hug it.

That sounds like a jab to the brass. Anyways trust the cherry picking pathway to replacement or to the RL team. 🤜 🤛

Brave was in existence for two years before the merger with Union. During that time the 08’s, 10’s and 11’s were average or better in the MA. I’m pretty sure Arlington typically did not have more than three out of six age groups better than that until recently. VDA is also a recent phenomenon and even with that their bottom three age groups haven’t been strong.

Clyde is somehow not good anymore but the 13’s are because they came from McLean? The club where Clyde was the TD?

Just tell us which team your daughter didn’t make. We can help start the healing process.

VDA was a top 25 club before BP came in. It’s not a recent phenomenon. You just have a young DD and you’re learning about ECNL now. Not a phenomenon either. Just a good club. I know DC Urban Mom hates that narrative though. Way easier to act like everything was terrible before BP. Not the case.

But hey, keep putting your faith in CW and MV. That seems to have worked out. FVU is killing it, right? How did they merge two ECNL clubs and are still bad? That takes real talent.

2013… DB coached that team anyways. CW came in for the last year when DB went to NVA.

I hope no real parents are tilting at the windmills in this thread. These are the kind of things that got this forum shut down to registered poster only a few years ago. Singling out specific 13 year olds is gross, as is claiming facts on moves when you have no freaking idea. This thread feels more and more like VDA coaching astroturfing which is desperate? disgusting? not sure the term but you are showing who you are.

You keep using astroturfing on multiple threads. I don’t think you know the definition.

Just a parent. A parent that’s been around long enough to know better than to listen to someone like you though. Nobody is calling out specific 13-year-olds. Who is the next FVU partner club?

Are you serious? What has VYS achieved? GA? ECNL? What we see is FVU is run like VYS. The guy is seriously lacking basic coaching skills. I would not trust him.
