The hostages is all they have. I'm not pro-Hamas, nobody is, and I think they're winning. They've successfully turned the world against Israel and I think this is what they wanted. But the Israeli govt moving to wipe out Palestinians, I don't see why Hamas would give up the one bit of leverage they have.

So they can be a civilized participant in the world stage. Why would the rest of the world want a state led by terrorists? Led by people who think taking civilian hostages, including babies, is a perfectly good way of doing business and making political change? No one wants the state of Palestine. What a disaster it would be for the whole world. If they acted differently, that would be a different story. Are they capable of that? Apparently not. They keep running head first into a cement wall and thinking someday they will break through it. Dumb.

If our government did something terrible, like Hamas did, would you also sanction collective punishment against everyone in this country, including your own children? Would it be okay for your children to starve to death in front of your eyes?
