Tuckahoe Boots Machine

Ha. That is unfortunate. There are a couple of those. It’s bc the qualifying time was the 100, but the software programs aren’t set up for that so individuals had to read and understand. I think this must have been happening all over. We got an email asking parents to pay attention

I did not know that club teams let parents directly enter kids into meets. I assumed (I know, I know) that coaches would input, or whatever it is called, swimmers & their events (with or without feedback from parents or swimmers before an official submission).

It's the clubs that submit the final entries. Some teams let parents choose, some teams the coaches all pick-- but it's up to the teams to check entries before they are submitted. I'm sure these ones will get fixed, they're pretty obvious (and funny)

Maybe he has an agreement with RMSC to just do their meets. Anyway, blackballing seems real (especially with the FXFX/Makos example someone shared in the earlier pages of this thread). As a parent of a high performing young swimmer, that would matter to me.

Swimmers would also most likely have to swim unattached for a year until everything with the Club in up and running with USA Swimming. Not sure if that impacts anything or not.

But yes I don't think NCI/Turkey Claus will be an option or any other Machine hosted meet.

NCI isn’t that great of a meet anyway. The RMSC Riley Eaton meet is much better and has prelims and finals. If T and his new team are willing to go to MD that would be a great meet for him to attend.

Turkey Claus is a great meet for lower level competition.

🙄

I agree, I think NIC is average at best. At least Turkeyclaus has prelims and finals. Not sure how you have a “winter championship” meet without prelims and finals.

I’ve been to both meets with swimmers.

Why are you spewing inaccurate info? I could cast aspersions, but you aren’t worth it. Geez, just go to the PVS Meet Results for the actual facts. https://www.pvswim.org/2425meet/25-40-results.pdf

10 and under are timed finals at NCI. My swimmers are 10 and under.

Np. We are at a different club and I actually had to email the coach about this. I noticed the qualifying times they had listed for the 100s, were actually the qualifying times for the 50s. There were some very happy (clueless) 10u parents 😂 I thought it was just our club, but I guess not.

At some point there needs to be better oversight on this. It’s a championship meet and the psych sheets are not correct which impacts lane assignments etc.

Hopefully they can get it fixed before the meet and delete the incorrect entries!

They will. Note the Astrix. Typically that means the host wasn’t able to verify the entry time and they have gone back to team to prove entry time. They just didn’t want to delay printing the psych sheet

Aww isn’t that cute, basing opinions on how good a meet is based solely on 10 and unders.

Seriously? Is this real outrage? What went out was an ask for everyone to review. Nothing is finalized. If you are so inclined, maybe you can volunteer to help the meet host.

It is probably just a Tuckahoe Torey Fangirl who wants to find anything they can to criticize/make Machine look bad.

Yep, I’m definitely a Torey Fangirl, how did you know?! Oh wait…no just a person that actually checks their work before submitting it in front of hundreds of people.

Machine should have had this locked on their website unless people had qualifying times. If that was an accidental oversight or system glitch then the person from Machine who submits the entries should have found it a little odd that these young kids had such fast times. On top of that the Meet Director from NCAP should have checked it. They could have easily looked up the times in the USA Swimming Database and then emailed Machine that if they didn’t confirm the times then they would be removed from the meet.

Seems like a pretty simple concept, but insults and me being a Torey Fangirl must be the answer.

I think someone just signed up to be the new Hydra swim club meet director! Can't wait to see what meets you'll be hosting next year and the amazing job you'll do managing a very small team.
Anonymous
Hydro will need to host because nobody will be inviting them. They can do their own intrasquad meets just like Tuckahoe!

Just can’t wait for this thread to be shut down.

They can only be the meet director if you don’t get the job with your application first. Clearly you are a closet Torey fan if these are your comments.

The obsession seems to run deep!! Not sure how you ended up back on the subject of him when someone was talking about a psych sheet error and incorrect entries. Everything in the real world doesn’t revolve around Coach T, but maybe it does in your world!
