ECNL showcase rankings are meaningless because teams play similarly ranked teams not in their conference. Strong teams play strong teams and vice versa.

From someone else in the North Atlantic, Bethesda is way ahead of MDU at this age group. MDU plays some great defense and keeps the scores close, but Bethesda far more talented. However, they are incredibly stubborn passing backwards and have trouble finishing. Take that for what you will.

+1. They have been competitive 11v11 with the best North Atlantic teams (Penn Fusion, Match Fit, PDA Blue, Ukrainian Nationals) this Spring, but the scores are 0-0, 1-0, 0-1, or 1-1. If your DD can finish, there's a spot available for her.

Anonymous wrote:With tryouts in VA and MD now over, has there been much movement in 2013G rising U13 ECNL and GA teams? Based on scattered posts on DCUM, it sounds like Loudoun red team is staying together at NVA GA, McLean green team is staying together at Union ECNL, and SYC first team is staying together at SYC GA. Any info on whether the Arlington and Bethesda first teams are staying together at those clubs’ ECNL teams? There had been talk of significant changes at Arlington as players from MYS and NVA left those clubs due to GA switch, but that doesn’t seem to have happened. What about VDA—are their rising U13s largely from VDA and PWSI or did they pick players up from Loudoun or other clubs?

Arlington took 3-4 new girls, all from outside the club. Did not demote or promote within.
they needed to drop over half that team. They were getting cooked at end of season

How are the teams looking? Have any teams started practice?

I think (hope?) they have all started at least pickup/informal/performance focused practices

Don't see the correlation seeing as though we do have practices in July. Nice attempt at some kind of burn lol.

Different poster from a north Atlantic team and we don't start until August. A lot of kids did do summer select together, but it was completely optional.
