Bethesda Soccer On Way Down

MN went under the knife for calf implants so hes laid up for a couple of months. Anything for a couple of inches I guess. KL is abusive but guarantee 09's will be better this year under him

Poor girls and families. No one should go through what it means being coached by that abusive coach

Says the parent of the girl who sat the bench and cried and left for McLean after the donations to the club didn't work.

That age group needs a lot of work. They literally scored one goal from December 2023 all the way through April of 2024. One goal to 25 goals against in that time period.

It was the first team

According to their website Bethesda Pulisic is their first team.

I don’t doubt they used first team players as well but all teams are mixing and matching.

I made up my mind though. I was part of Bethesda back in the day when the teams were independent so I would like my son to try out for their first team

Because U9 tournaments in Olney are the only sure way to success in life. U9? Seriously - we're bragging about U9?

Oh my kid doesn’t play for them so I’m not bragging. But you gotta be honest. They play good soccer for 8 year olds in comparison to what else I have seen in America. So I’m giving them their props.

The mail point being it seems like their youth pipeline is strong and they because of that they should have a strong teams from 12 to 15 years of age. I can’t imagine them going down anytime time soon.

People whose kids could not find success at BSC and left don’t like to admit that but it’s true. It’s some of the best quality futbol you’ll find in the US and that will keep drawing people too the club. The brand is very much alive and kicking! If you didn’t like the coach or found greener pastures somewhere else, great! Please move on and give this silly thread a break.

Any word on MN's calf implants?

Not hate for BSC here. Happily seperated and admiring good soccer from afar now but futbol at BSC? Please, its positional soccer at its best for their top teams; its effective whatever you are calling it, lots of W's we are all aware. But please do not call it futbol though. Futbol has creativity, flare, its unpredictable, its risque and is built on trust amongst teammates and the coaches. Trust LMAO!!! not happening at BSC; nor is futbol happening anywhere when winning is the only measure of success.

My nephews team at Liverpool beat Bethesda every time they played them last year. They are playing some great little football over at Liverpool in that age bracket! We had fun watching them.

I would agree if you define futbol as the artform. But that highest level doesn’t manifest in the young ages anywhere. All quality youth academies train positional patterns of play as building blocks, they don’t just let them run around and ‘create’.

My threshold in the US is much lower - technical competence, athletic iq and respect for the game. One can play soccer while having none of the above. But you know when you see a team that plays ‘better soccer’. That team deserves to win.
