What’s going on with the two bills?

She also said she would put the infrastructure bill on the floor yesterday and hold the vote open to get the bill through.

Guess that didn’t work out too well for her. Lame duck Speaker losing control.

She already lost control and the 3-year-olds are running the house. Oh well.

Nancy is a lot of things but she is a shrewd politician. They're going to end up with eggy faces in December.

Why? Because you say so? If there’s anyone with egg on her face it’s Nancy. I think it’s high time her and the rest of them start standing together with the CPC and abandon the corporatist agenda.

Biden is able to get this done and represent the US at the G20 at the same time.

Democrats show competence.

Who lied to you because that bill is in no way shape or form ready for a vote?

He can try, but since Sinema won't support it, it won't matter.

The bills will be passed by the House on Tuesday, which puts the infrastructure bill on Biden's desk when he is back; the BBB better will get through the senate and then we can move on.

The only person who talks to Sinema is Biden. Bernie ‘trying’ means more back-and-forth on the framework. And he’s not the only one - Gillibrand’s been harassing colleagues on a totally different issue.

I’m really not getting how you think you can go from the basic contents of the bill still being openly challenged, the biggest negotiator being out of the country and focused on something else, and no final bill text to a vote in 48 hours?

Do I think they can pass the BIF on Tuesday? ABSOLUTELY. It’s been signed and agreed to since July. But they could have voted on that last Thursday anyway.

It's disgusting prescription drug negotiations is not in the package. That would help Americans and RAISE revenue. I hope Josh Gotteheimer and his 8 minions get primaried. I don't care about Sinema, her election is too far away.

Talk is cheap. Do you think the NY NJ house dems are going to be ok with not addressing the cap on SALT deduction?

No. Which is why it was a lie in the first place that this bill was going for a vote on Tuesday. Especially with Biden gone. They'll be debating this thing into December.

Hells yes. Someone needs to do something about this crazy inflation which is almost directly tied to the CTC and much of the workforce dropping out.

The progressives need to stop whining and just pass the infrastructure bill. Biden/Pelosi need to realize passing one bill is better than passing none.
