Feinstein is guilty of character assignation. She screwed both families. She will go down in history as a disgrace

What should she have done?

Bring the allegation to the committee when they were brought to her. Or at the very least not leak them

A supreme court justice should remain non-partisan not only on the bench when making decisions but also in actions and behavior. I would say that Kavanagh did a disastrous job today of demonstrating that he is as much of a partisan animal as any politician sitting in that hearing or in office today.

To accuse Democrats of “a calculated and orchestrated political hit fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election.” He even suggested it was “revenge on behalf of the Clintons” — referring to his work on special counsel Kenneth Starr’s investigation of the Clinton administration in the 1990s.

If this is indeed a job interview - then he didn't get the job.

What's up with this dude's strange facial tick? He turns his nose up every thirty seconds like someone with a heroin habit. Regardless whether or not he assaulted the woman, he still comes off a giant prick.

And the lady looks old. Only 51 and upper-middle class? Must have been a tough life.

No reason not to do it unless everyone in high school and college will say he drank vast amounts of alcohol. He is scared shitless of an fbi investigation.

Dude, I’m a YLS alum and that’s the first think I’m going to shout if I’m ever pulled over by the cops or otherwise encounter law enforcement or questioning of my character.

+1. Also an alum and didn’t realize that was my get out of jail free card.
I thought that was pretty telling of his mentality—all is forgiven if you get into Yale! Okay to party so long as you get that admit letter!

When Ford stated at the end that she never went though a proper psychological vetting of what happened, it was game over. Especially after acknowledging that was the best way to handle cases like this.

He can, and needs to, take responsibility. Whatever happened to "personal responsibility" that conservatives like to lecture so much about?

Conservatives are full of hollow words about values. They are really just about money and they'll manipulate with whatever they can to get their way. The ultimate in hypocrites.

This hearing has been so nauseating.

Oh, please. I've been in the education field for my entire career and tend to vote moderate - conservative. Hardly about money.

Let me be more specific. Conservative politicians.

She is credible.
He is angry that he's being questioned.
She wants an FBI investigation.
He does not.

Agree! Such a double standard for women. So annoying. There have been men in Congress who are full on fossils.

Excellent summary of today's proceedings. Everything else is just noise.

It's not his place to call for one. The question was complete crap. The proper answer is what he responded with - it's not his decision to make; it's what the committee calls for.

This is all you need to know. He is also strangely political after his Clinton comment. Thought he was going to scream Benghazi!!

And I feel just like I did after the Anita Hill hearing. And my teenage DD is crying - she doesn't understand how they can put this man on the SC.
