He can, and needs to, take responsibility. Whatever happened to "personal responsibility" that conservatives like to lecture so much about?

Conservatives are full of hollow words about values. They are really just about money and they'll manipulate with whatever they can to get their way. The ultimate in hypocrites.

This hearing has been so nauseating.

He said over and over again that he likes to drink beer. He asked one of the senators (Klobachar?) what she likes to drink!!??!!

Feinstein's staff are lying to her because they know she's not able to think it through. The LETTER was leaked, not just her story.

Feinstein is senile......her staff is propping her up.

He faltered and was trembly at the last set of questions asked by the old guy.
Republicans find your moral compass. Good is greater than God. Doing the right thing is what God demands of us.

Admittedly, I'm more conservative than most of you here; but I thought Feinstein's introduction was so nauseatingly biased that, if I were Kavanaugh, I'd have been extremely angry, too! She basically sympathized with Dr. Ford and acted as if she were sure he's guilty.

Harris is awesome, and smarter than most in the room.

Harris/Booker for Pres/VP

Feinstein is guilty of character assignation. She screwed both families. She will go down in history as a disgrace

Kavanaugh said he didn’t even watch Ford’s testimony.

Feinstein must retire. Good god, she's too old to keep her job.

That said, she was OK in this hearing. Not great, but OK.

What should she have done?

Oh, please. I've been in the education field for my entire career and tend to vote moderate - conservative. Hardly about money.

You are missing the point. FBI will have on record much more information than the flimsy affidavit from Mark Judge given to Repubs that is the only thing that currently exists. Then the SJC would have better information for their inquiry prior to a vote. It wouldn't cost much and it would silence the doubters if he is innocent. No reason not to do it.

Grassley seems like he's already half-dead. Why hasn't he retired? He's like my cranky old great-uncle who starts insulting people at random. Ugh. He has to go to the old folks home.

Anyone want to meet up for happy hour tomorrow and watch the confirmation vote?
