| Ryan and Blake are not nearly as powerful as they think they are. They think they're some clever Rasputin figures playing everyone but they come off as really dimwitted, grubby and fake. Miami scam artist vibes. I think a large part of it is they are uneducated, so they probably don't even realize how over their skis they are. While Matt Damon is a sharp Harvard alum and most studio execs and management have MBAs and law degrees. |
I can’t get over how narcissistic and me me me Blake is. She and Matt and Lucy are clearly friends but not that close as she’s been dealing with Justin for over a year at the point they text them for help and they have no background yet. And even phrasing like “after the birth of our son” sounds pretty formal. And yet she lays out way way too much detail. And makes it all about her having to take over directing and rewriting the entire script (I would love to know what Christy Hall the actual writer thinks about that) and producing and editing and she’s sleeping an hour a night….its so over the top and so disrespectful of their time given they were at their vacation house reading these long winded texts and being asked to log in and watch a 2 hour movie and five “notes” about a movie which was absolute crap. And I’m saying this as someone who enjoyed the movie and saw it in the theater but can recognize that it’s just over the top entertainment much like a reality show and not some cinematic feat as Blake describes. I understand pulling your powerful friends in. But the way Blake and Ryan text and email these people ….its so transparent and disturbing and everything is so transactional. |

Regardless of peoples views on the lawsuits, I find these attempts to discredit Ryan quite funny. He was the second highest paid actor in 2024 - the repeated posts that he is a nobody and a has been with no talent who is dimwitted - well, the facts say otherwise.
He has had immense fame and fortune and not liking him doesn't erase that. It is stupid to talk about him as though he is a no talent nobody. |
I wasn't arguing anything, just pointing out that it hasn't been two years, since she made a whole movie and then promoted it just last spring. It's not evidence of anything, just a fact that was being overlooked so I added it. |
He’s clearly very famous and wealthy in large part due to a carefully curated image that he spent years on - that is in jeopardy now and has been damaged. He will be fine financially but his image has taken a hit. People are mocking him for this overly effusive texts and emails and his over the top anger. It seems people are pointing out the fact that he’s 50 and a lot the successful characters he got famous for playing- he his outgrowing. He’s no tom hanks and the brand of humor he’s known for is overplayed and becoming more outdated. |
(DP). I like him as an actor but agree he’s one dimensional. I feel like his character is the same in Deadpool - Van Wilder - Just Friends - the romcom with Sandra Bullock - the romcom with Isla Fisher. |

Taylor Swift is taking a huge hit being wedded to these scammers.

To be fair, this article is about backlash over her not speaking against ICE. But yes Taylor is having a bad week on a few different fronts. |

Big new document dump. Anyone hear the voice memo Blake leaves for Justin on Feb 6, 2023?
She talks about another movie she is committed to that spring??? It must not have gotten made, because her simple favor sequel shot in the summer. Then she says she is worried about her weight and she doesn’t yet have a baby nurse so she’s worried about the schedule. I can’t imaging rambling about all of this to my boss, and she must feel weird too because she notes this, but says Ryan says we’re friends and there is such a trust between us that I should share. It’s just pretty personal and just a weird five minute long voice note. And there’s really nothing for Justin to do unless he reworks the whole schedule. She mentions that it’s really hard for their family not to be together and so she’s asking for schedule adjustments so they can be apart for two weeks instead of one month which again is not Justin’s problem? Then she mentions her girl’s last day of school and how they wanted to go to London the next day, but the schedule is preventing that. I just don’t think she should’ve signed onto this movie. From what I understand she’s signed on December 31 so the fact that five weeks later she’s already coming to him with a bunch of problems about why she doesn’t want to do the film is a bad sign. For the record, I think Justin acted inappropriately onset, but I also think she is crossing boundaries here. |
| That voice memo is the week she gave birth. Probably having a hard time thinking about being away when she is nesting days before popping or actually sleep deprived with a new born. We don't know what day exactly she gave birth but it seems it was the first week of February. |
Yes, agree she had just given birth. But I’m just not sure it’s appropriate to call your “boss” like that and vent about baby weight and lack of a baby nurse. And it’s also weird to me that she was supposed to do a movie called proxy in between it ends with us and having her baby. I just googled it and she was attached to it in 2022 and it was supposed to film and it still has not been made. So it obviously got canceled but just really weird choices to have baby number four and have literally three movies in the next six months. Of course she felt overwhelmed. I’m not judging that. But it seems like she took on a lot and i think it impacted some of what happened on it ends with us. I also really don’t like the dynamics that she has with her new boss. And asking them to change the production schedule. That is crazy and seems like from the start. She just had a lot of power. One last thing I’ll point out - all the voice memos, emails, and text I’ve seen her, I don’t think she has sent one that didn’t reference Ryan. I don’t think she can go three or four sentences without referencing back to him. Even when she told Taylor she loved her when they were having their heart to heart in December 2024, she said I just love you, and I love my babies and Ryan. I find that odd. |
I don't know if you are a woman, but it wouldn't be uncommon to send a rambling email in the days after birth when hormones are a mess, you haven't slept, you are panicking over a schedule that impacts your kids, you don't have help in place yet, and you have 3 jobs coming up. Sure, she took on too much and there are lots of things to critize her for - but a rambling message around the time of the birth of a child isn't really worth getting nasty about. She was a working mother and birth isn't a walk in the park. People are really looking for low hanging fruit now to attack her for not having it all together in the days surrounding the birth. |

It is a very American thing to be anti-maternity leave and to hate on a woman who has just given birth.
In Canada, there is a completely different understanding of birth and receovery and she would have been allowed time off and accommodations would have had to have been made to support her, including supporting her choice to breastfeed. America is very far behind when it comes to women's rights. But as long as women are against women's rights like in this thread, there won't be much progress. No matter how much people hate Blake, she is still an actual human and woman. |
I am a woman. I’ve given birth to two kids and I work full-time. I would never send rambling voice notes like this to my boss. I simply would not, and I don’t think you would either. I also was smart enough to know maybe I shouldn’t book 3 films and launch a hair product line after giving birth to my fourth kid. I don’t know if it’s greed or a money grab or what was happening. I just can’t pretend to relate to this woman or her decisions at all. I also refuse to infantilize women and say well we can’t control it. It’s our hormones. Of course we’re going to leave a long rambling voice note that we know is inappropriate after giving birth. Give me a break. If we want to call out sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior or whatever ever happened on that set, we need to hold men to certain standards, but we also need to hold women to standards and not blame hormones. |
