This poll suggests that many people feel the same as you do. Right now, the vast majority are voting for the head of the ticket.

Joe Biden’s choice of a running mate is the talk of Washington, but a majority of American voters said Biden’s VP selection won’t affect their vote, according to a POLITICO/Morning Consult poll released Wednesday.

Fifty-four percent of respondents said that Biden’s running mate will have no impact on how they’ll cast their ballot. Only 16 percent said that it would have a “major impact” on their vote. Another 20 percent said it would have a “minor impact.”

Essentially 74% say that it will have no impact or a minor impact.

From the article: “If Biden chooses a California VP, he likely won’t pick Karen Bass,” the board writes.

And immediately follows with an explanation of why Bass is the better choice.

At this stage I really don't care who he picks. As I will vote Democrat no matter what. I am confident he will pick someone competnet for the role of VP and president, should he not be able to complete his term. I am comfortable with all the names that have been floated around.

Though there's still a small part of me who thinks the pick will be somewhat out of left field, but still a really good choice.

And I guarantee you if he knew who Bass was, he would recommend her

The Black radio host used to practice law in California, pretty sure he knows who Bass is. Point still stands: Picking a Black woman isn't really beneficial. Blacks are voting for Biden no matter what. Lock up November choosing a relatable white woman. Warren has the substance or Whitmer has the it factor.

Whitmer as VP, Kamala as AG, Gavin Newsom asks Karen Bass to fill the Senate seat. Perfect.
Yes, this is a great idea. Julian Castro goes back to HUD; Pete Buttigieg goes to Veteran's Affairs; Val Demings goes to DHS; Jeh Johnson goes to the FBI; Susan Rice becomes Secretary of State; Erich Holder becomes director of the CIA; Michael Bennet becomes education secretary (and Jared Polis appoints a democrat to replace hime); Patty Murray becomes EPA secretary (Inslee appoints democrat to replace her); Sean Casten takes energy; Elaine Luria takes defense; Jeff Flake becomes interior secretary; Will Hurd at NSC; Stacy Abrams at SBA; Howard Dean at HHS; Keisha Bottoms becomes transportation secretary.

Debbie Stabenow takes agriculture; Whitmer appoints Elisa Slotkin to take over senate senate.

16% of voters will swing an election. Hillary learned this the hard way.

+as many as is I can offer.

If beating Trump is so important, making sure these decisions, even the putatively minor ones, are as well done as is possible is a must.

PP’s fantastical fan fiction is a real boon to Trump’s re-election efforts.

Seriously.
