I was never one of those people. I’d imagine those people are probably the ones that support H. And logically speaking, they should also support A-D if they believe Wootton to be objectively unsafe. Stay consistent, friends! |
But they aren’t! That’s the crazy part. These are the anti-h people literally telling people to stop complaining and stop asking for a renovation. Bc asking for a renovation gets them H. |
| So if the final recommended option is to move Wootton to Crown + Rosemont and Fieldsroad ESs, and then start to use Wootton as a holding school for Damascus and the other HS that are on the priority list, then eventually renovate Wootton, and move Wootton students back after like 10-15 years. Would Wootton family be happy with this option? |
If someone can put “Wootton students back after 10-15 years” with the cluster intact and make this legally enforceable, sure. But lol we all know this is not practical. Too many things can change. Lol but sure sign it in blood and promise me it will be enforceable. |
Well, for the current BOE and Taylor, it's very easy to make such a kind of promise. They can even write it down with some legal binding, but not taking any responsibilities 10-15 years later as things would change so much by then, and they don't need to be accused or paying legal fees, so they can promise you basically anything. |
Then not whole Wootton could move back as it will have to split. Who will move back and who will not? And who gets to keep the name Wootton? This creates too much uncertainty down the road |
Schools have closed in the past and reopened with demand. You keep putting up every obstical possible and the only thing you want is Wootton torn down and replaced, and even so they would need a holding school. Just putting in a new HVAC does't get rid of the mold issues. It can help prevent new issues but once you have mold, its not going away. |
Precisely why I don’t agree with H. |
So once we have mold, the school is doomed? I guess it really is time to demolish half of all the county schools and homes. |
You write this as if the families in Dufief are setting the boundaries. “Then you should just go.” Not sure why it’s hard to understand they didn’t want to be split off alone. Then new options appears and what you describe in your comment doesn’t exist. Unless, like option W, you’re trying to create your own? Option x, perhaps? |
If we don’t propose an option, it’s why are you just saying you are against H, you need to be for something. Why don’t you use your energy to propose something. Then lol someone proposes something, are you trying to create your own option? |
Because Dufief doesn’t need to. They’d be fine with e-h. You’re not happy with any |
No I write this to call out hypocrisy. Ok so you don’t want to be split off alone, but if you truly believe Wootton is objectively unsafe, surely splitting off alone is better than sending your kid to an unsafe environment right? Unless…you actually don’t really believe Wootton is unsafe. That’s the only logical position for why someone from Dufief supports H but not ABCD. |
I would be THRILLED with EFG. Dufief will be redistricted in 5-10 years. I’ll still walk to my “objectively unsafe school.” |
You probably posted this before you read one or two comments above but the Dufief crew wants to stay with the cluster they have been a part of for 50 years. That doesn’t make them bad people. Many are open to E and F but H is the best of both worlds. Brand new school, same cluster. And closer to home - I don’t think that’s unreasonable if you look at it from their perspective. |
