THIS invasion is actually a peaceful handover. When Moynihan wrote a memo to Nixon in 1970 to enact “benign neglect” [a direct quote] and then focus on immigrants. And everybody with eyes already knew that another amnesty was coming when Republican Ronald Reagan & neither Democrats nor Republicans secured enforcement provisions in the amnesty of 1986, when Clinton did not adopt Barbara Jordan’s recommendations for immigration restrictions in the 1990’s, when George Bush started the task force on new Americans in 2008. When Obama finished that task force and it became the office of new Americans w/ free giveaways and goodies to illegal aliens, when in 2015 Grace Ming & Obama blew the lineage gates off large legacy funding bills so they could go to everybody in the world, and now (according to Mayorkas) in 2021 Biden presented an amnesty proposal ON DAY ONE of his Presidency to Congress and NONE of your so called Republican and Americans First representatives held a press conference nor rallied the public. And it took them nearly three years to put on a show of an impeachment hearing. THIS invasion is actually a ‘peaceful’ handover that was planned all along since the 1960’s Hart Cellar Act…and both parties not just allow that takeover, they both WANT it.

There's a picture on nytimes.com today showing a caravan heading for the border. They're carrying a banner that says "Exodo de la Pobreza" (Exodus of/from poverty). So much for claiming asylum on the basis of fear of violence or persecution (which is of course the story they'll tell at their hearing, if they ever show up for one).

The problem is that our laws are ridiculous.

Nope. No one has called for nor supported "open borders" no matter how much people like you wish it to be true.

Fact is, there are international asylum laws. The US has to comply with them. The US is not equipped to handle the lad because the GOP refuses to help pass legislation to smooth the efforts on the southern border. Result: chaos at the boarder and people like you stay angry. But your anger is misplaced. It should be at the GOP for refusing for over 15 years, to help pass legislation to deal with the problem, all while GOP businessmen, including the past president, take advantage of illegals by hiring them or marrying them.

There are significant privacy issues with eVerify. The GOP bill ignores those issues. Dems writ-large DO support eVerify but not at the expense of privacy concerns.
