why do people keep posting this? The DPL site stuff is from the past year (and nothing came of it.) Not an announcement of something new.

I guess we will need to wait and see if there are any additional ECNL announcements this week. ECNL Clubs can extend official offers after May 1,so they will probably accept everyone that is getting in for 2020-21 this week.

DD plays on United (non-DA) team at FCV. Did NOT play DPL games. Just because the logo is on a website doesn't mean anything. Why would we want to go to GA and FL?

FCV was in DPL to a small extent. Their teams did travel to top hat a year ago and has a relationship with them.

They were in the DPL in past years just not very active.

It is the old logo you all are looking at.

I’m not saying they aren’t joining to a more active role, I am saying they were in this “league” prior to April 2020.

Lots of parents starting to send texts to one another and the majority are leaving FCV if they don’t go the ECNL route.

Except that they can't "go the ECNL route" if ECNL doesn't accept them (as is rumored). Then what?

Exactly... can’t go without and invite and there’s no invite. Furthermore, how are they going to get into the St. James? I saw they are temporarily closed. Not that I would bring my kid to an indoor facility when we’re supposed to avoid large indoor gatherings even after all of this.

The DA does not practice at the St James and never did. They played one game indoors there this past fall. The plan prior to all this happening was to stay at Evergreen and they were also looking to expand into other Loudoun area field space at schools, etc as per an email sent back in February. No one seemed to have an inkling that this was about to happen, which to me is puzzling given that one of the National
Team scouts has a daughter in the club and Christian and Bobby were supposed to be well connected in the DA world. Clearly NC Courage got the heads up and made the switch to ECNL before the DA demise. The head of ECNL has stated they are at capacity for 2020-21 so why are FCV and Arlington parents still hoping for a last minute ECNL acceptance? I guess we will need to get to the end of this week
and the announcement about both clubs joining DPL for parents to believe.

Is this a scientific poll or did you pull it right out of your South Pole?

*ex-DA

Also yes, definitely behind the scenes early stuff. Which is an indicator FCV, Arlington, MU won’t get ECNL anytime soon.

Non MLS DA clubs including proto U12 DA teams already play in EDP boys. So the question is whether any of these clubs have the guts to put these teams in divisions with pro/rel.
