FCV will be ECNL - out of Springfield (TSJ) not Loudoun. Currently there is no competing ECNL league near Springfield.

BRYC is no kidding right down the street. FCV is not getting ECNL, because ECNL has not offered them a spot. This is the hopeful optimism. FCV appeared to be doing well in DA, problem is, ECNL doesn't exist to save clubs. Their ECNL clubs will soak up the best players in the area.

If you want to play in the top leagues, that's ECNL. Be prepared for a very competitive environment to earn a spot. And one more time: FCV WILL NOT BE ECNL.

Best thing for FCV is to have BRYC absorbs them and have BRYC take on their top 2 or 3 coaches.

Why would Loudoun based kids drive to BRYC when Loudoun Soccer Park is three miles from Evergreen?

The BRYC comment was responding to the person who stated "Currently there is no competing ECNL league near Springfield".

You are also forgetting VDA, based in Manassas/Haymarket that is ECNL and one of the best at 06 level. Several of the 06 FCV girls on DA do live in Loudoun.

Why do you, after years of this, continue to confuse a club with a league.

Because Loudoun Soccer's training is abysmal. The whole reason FCV became a thing is because Loudoun's training and system is abysmal.

Money says Bobby will be leading another ECNL op next year. No way he stays for just EDP.

I’m not going to comment on the quality of Loudoun’s training...FCV became a thing because Terry Foley was there when they founded ECNL. FCV originally paired with another club and that clubs top team would play ecnl games under the FCV name. Then, while they were partnered with SYA, they decided to break away - and took many of the SYA teams and coaches with them. They also partnered with / absorbed Ashburn.

The reason they have done well is that they have recruited, selling access to their leagues. Until recently, Loudoun could not offer anything similar on the girls side. It will be a big role reversal now.

I’m not saying that Christian or Bobby are not good coaches- just that most of their better players came from other clubs.

Is that where the 06FCV DA players want to tryout? At FCV because the team is the best at 06 level?

VDA could be another option besides Loudoun from a geography standpoint.
