The NTH Tophat DA, ECNL, SCCL, and Athena programs are for committed soccer players who desire to play at a competitive level. These programs are geared toward college exposure as well as state, regional, and national competitions. The DA, ECNL, and SCCL teams will compete in regional leagues and the Athena Teams will compete in state leagues. All of our teams will travel to out of state tournaments and will require a firm commitment of time and money by both the players and parents. DA - The U.S. Soccer Development Academy is a league run by the U.S. Soccer Federation and is comprised of teams across 4 age groups for girls: U13/14, U15, U16/17, and U18/19. |
Tophat tophat tophat! What about your club? I’m loving all of this. Karma fcv parents. Karma. |
You sound a bit unhinged
|
| Shouldn't the girls have a say in all of this? I mean, after all, they are the most affected by what has transpired. I've spoken to two, and they're preference would be to keep their teams together, and play in the ECNL. So, why aren't they being asked? Why aren't the players and families more involved in this decision? Aren't we the ones paying in? Why are we sitting around waiting for them to decide? I mean, how many in the FCV/St James leadership have daughters in this predicament? If the girls wanted the ECNL, they should get the ECNL and FCV/STJ should pull out all the stops to make it happen for them. Wishful thinking, I know, that they might actually want to do what's best for the players and their families. In any case, it's looking like the EDP is very much in play. Or at least, the EDP is the most obvious destination. After the collapse of the DA, they wouldn't dare take a chance on another startup league. Then again... Also worth mentioning, Puppione is listed as a member of Leadership Council at EDP. (https://www.edpsoccer.com/usyouthsoccer). |
So naive. Girls having a say. Parents having a say. Now that’s a hoot. |
| Naive was FCV for leaving the ECNL for supposedly greener pastures to begin with. |

"A possible clue about the federation’s intentions came last month, after COO Jay Berhalter — one of the DA’s chief architects and a candidate for the vacant CEO position — resigned and Will Wilson was named CEO. That same day, youth club North Carolina FC announced it would withdraw its top girls’ teams from the DA and move to the rival Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for the 2020-21 season.
The significance: Wilson served on NCFC’s board of directors. Cindy Parlow Cone, U.S. Soccer’s interim president following Carlos Cordeiro’s March 12 resignation, is a NCFC youth director. Which is BS, since I am also FCV parent and have not heard anything at all. When will they sind information? |
|
+1 |
Sounds very corrupt. |
Agree - is it wrong to cheer for the federation to go bankrupt? |
|
|
| Any new news-is FCV still trying to get into ECNL or will they do GAL? Apparently Arlington won't get ECNL-McLean stands to be the beneficiary there! |
