social justice warriors.
change the system. America sux, it needs to change. Same for MoCo and MCPS. Change it to accommodate the underperformers. Now! |
yup because the only thing lower performing blacks and hispanics need is to be around higher performing whites and asians and poof magically higher performing. Now that is actual racisim and guess what that is what the SJW are actually proposing. So who is really the racist here. |
These are stereotypes and don't apply to all kids but the numbers don't lie.Why is it that these 2 groups perform poorly? it could be tied to SES but I know plenty of low SES success stories, including myself. What is the common denominator of success across income, race and culture? Parents valuing education. If a parent values education, the child will usually be more motivated to succeed. My parents were immigrants. One had tech school education and one didnt graduate college. But they both knew the importance of education and instilled that in me. We couldnt afford tutors and they didn't have the ability to help me, but I knew they would not be happy if I didn't do well. Can MCPS change parents perceptions? I dont know but I think it would be worth trying to do that versus continuing to do things that just don't work. |
It starts at the home. Parents need to actually parent. Actually engage with the child, read to it and interact, don't yell and cuss at it or slap it around. Expecting the school to change issues that start from age 0 in the home is impossible. It's why the achievement gap still exists after almost a decade of failed policy to fix it. |
| You see, the real racists will flood a thread with posts like this. Just ignore. Likely trolls. |
| Unfortunately there are many areas of the country (most) where housing and this schools are segregated by race/religion/socio economics. MCPS is not an exception and will likely not resolve the issue. |
It’s bigger than that. Why did Jack smith take the test score results templates of black, Hispanic, white, Asian, and then another section farms and esol and remake it? And rename it some BS like MCPS Equity Model? Now you look up a schools map test or may year end Pearson’s test and see the newly named FOCUS groups by race and by income for jack smith: Black farms, non farms Hispanic farms, non farms Other farms, non farms No effort to include cash pay jobs in assigning Farms status. And remember, the more farms you have per school, you might kick out and get title 1 status, which is a bonanza because then the feds pay extra $4000 per pupil and you can have two teachers/aides per class in elementary school plus lower class sizes. Awesome sauce. |
But they will drive the area and schools and teachers into the ground trying! That is a big issue. |
No one in MCPS wants to answer the question in bold. They will jump through million hoops to make every excuse under the sun to explain the under performance of these 2 groups. |
I said it before a couple pages ago This is nothing new MoCo West vs Easts Arlington North vs South DC WOTP vs EOTR Even Fairfax NW/West vs South/East/Route 1 Corridor it's called human nature and a fact of life. People of means select areas that have better schools period and if you start mucking around people of means will leave entirely like what has happened in Alexandria. |
Is this supposed to cheer us up or something? |
its racism obviously. totally trolling. SJW actually believe this crap |
so facts are racist now apparently too. |
Amazing the way they take over a thread. Like they put out a call to their little group or something. Yes, the real racists are out there. But I don’t think they are the people you really want to engage with over boundaries in MoCo. Do that at the meetings. |
This really is the essence of it, isn't it. It's not about money, because Focus Schools and Title 1 schools do get more money. It really is about simply moving the ratios around so that AA and Latinx kids can be around Asian/White kids. Hilarious, and truly a racist proposition. |
