No, you got it all wrong. We don't want you to procreate at all. Use birth control, have as much sex as you want, don't procreate.

Bullshit. The right loses its mind every time you try to teach kids about birth control or make birth control more easily available. These are the same assholes who oppose the HPV vaccine even though it prevents cervical cancer because getting the vaccine encourages promiscuity.

We don't want it for our kids. You can do whatever you want. As long as you are sterilized.

Even sterilization has failure rates.

Ummm, no it wouldn't, because both partners would get sterilized.

What if they’re not done having children yet?

They forfeited their right to have children by allowing slaughter of over 60 million of Americans since RwW. Despite historically unprecedented freedom of choice of contraceptives, despite all rights and amazing opportunities, you chose careless sex and abortion as a form of contraception. The more choices you had to not procreate at a whim the more disdain you showed for unborn life. Sometimes having too many choices clearly leads to complete moral demise. No, please don't start with rape and incest. Everyone knows this is the tiny percentage of all abortions. Stop using rape and incest as proxy for easy access to murder for convenience.

You're welcome to have your own religion but you don't get to enforce your religion on other people.

I am an atheist. The secular pro-life movement is growing as fast as religious one. One does not need fairytales to clearly see a human being on the ultrasound. One does not need religion to understand that zygote and onwards is a person. You just need brain cells.

Cool. So, quick hypothetical for you: you're in an IVF clinic, and the clinic is burning down. On your right is a canister with 5000 frozen fertilized eggs. On your left is a screaming 3 year old. You can't carry both. Which do you leave behind?

Funny how you can never get a pro-life person to answer that question.

It’s a stupid question because a canister of fertilized human eggs is stored in a special containment device that nobody would have access to.

Show me what clinic has 5,000 fertilized human eggs sitting on a counter and 3 year old roaming about screaming?

Here’s a real scenario: you are pregnant and want to finish your degree. Do you have your child and put it up for adoption and finish your degree, or do you kill your own child and finish your degree?

I'd terminate and finish my degree, without hesitation.

How on earth are those 5,000 fertilized eggs in a special containment device "human beings?!" You know they're not. You know they're not 100% totally equal to a 3 year old (let alone worth 5,000 3-year-olds). Come the F on girl.

A woman has a right to control her body. Period. It doesn't matter the reason.

Too bad the body control only occurs after the pregnancy.

Abortion is the only way women can seemingly control their bodies.

I like how you let men off the hook so easily.

Unfortunately, I didn’t create humankind. I made no personal decision to build a woman’s body to carry unborn babies, and gift a man with a penis.

I also don’t force women to have sex with men who will not support them in case pregnancy occurs. Women choose who they have sex with. If they have sex with a man who won’t help support a possible pregnancy I can’t prevent that.

However, a man can be forced to take a paternity test and the government will even take money out of his check for child support should he prove to be the father and refuse financial responsibility.

What if the man who impregnated the woman does not work. Suppose, for the next several years the man decides to continue his studies (say complete high school, undergrad, and grad studies). How will the govt. force him to pay child support when he doesn't have any earnings?

Men who are ordered to pay child support are jailed if they do not comply.
Men aren’t going to be able to get their education from jail. Pay up dad.

My bff got pregnant and college and the dad was an exceptional athlete who went on to play in the NFL.

They hammered out an agreement where she supported their child until he finished college and got an NFL contract- which he did. He then repaid her and paid generous child support.

I don’t know why men should get a free pass to continue their education if pregnancy occurs.

This is not true in every state!

They don't get jobs or they take jobs that pay under the table so they can claim they have no income.

It's my body, my right to privacy, what I would choose to do with my own body is none of your business either way.

You know all these laws will make IVF illegal, right?

At fertilization, the human being emerges as a whole, genetically distinct, individuated zygotic living human organism, a member of the species Homo sapiens, needing only the proper environment in order to grow and develop.

Even if the “proper environment” is unwilling.

The proper environment for a human baby to develop is it’s mother’s uterus and body.

If the mom is unwilling, she should abstain or use birth control.

I get the feeling here women resent being a woman and dislike their own children.

It’s both sad and and exercise in denial at the same time. If you are intelligent and educated, prevent pregnancy. If you want to pretend you cannot have a child, don’t be surprised when you end up pregnant. It’s not a mystery process.

I love my children and was happy to go through child birth for them, but a 9 year old who was raped not only had to go through the trauma of a rape but now you want to have her body torn up by child birth? That is insane.

Yes, I get it that the prolifers want to think rape is a very small percentage but it often goes unreported. Heck, I'm an adult and wouldn't want to tear up my vagin@ for a rapist's baby. I can't believe we would let a child be traumatized like this.

Even with it being a small number, though, so what? Does the fact that they’re a small percentage of women seeking abortions mean that they’re irrelevant? Disposable? Morality shouldn’t be based on how many people you’re talking about. Either it’s morally acceptable to compel these women to continue these pregnancies or it’s not. Numbers don’t matter.

Ah my hero. The great Eugenicist, Margaret Sanger. Please do one for Eleanor Roosevelt, too

If you want to take her out of context, sure. But she did far more for women of all colors than most others. You should be thanking her for all that she did.

Educate yourself:

No need to educate myself. Margaret Sanger is my hero and I thoroughly understand and support her teachings on Eugenics. I am pro abortion and advocate for late term abortions because that is when problems with fetuses and pregnant women are often discovered.

An embryo cannot exist without being completely and totally physically dependent on a woman - therefore it is not a "being" - it has no capacity to independently exist. It is therefore not an individual.

By all means make your own moral/religious decisions for yourself, but to force any person to remain pregnant and to give birth, is to take away HER sovereignty. But we all know white males in America don't believe women should have sovereignty in the first place.

What's your evidence for imputing this motive?

Once again, The Onion nails it with its satire/reality blur.

Abused 12-Year-Old Alabama Girl Doesn’t Think She Can Handle Being A Mom On Top Of Everything Else

MONTGOMERY, AL—Conveying her concerns that the additional obstacles presented by parenthood would be too much to bear, 12-year-old abuse survivor Abigail Dunn was reportedly worried Wednesday that she wouldn’t be able to handle being a mom on top of everything else she had going on. “I have several book reports and a big algebra test coming up in the next few weeks, and I had even been thinking about trying out for my school’s chorus, but giving birth and caring for an infant is going to really cut into my studying time,” said the seventh-grader, who acknowledged that the intense feelings of shame and fear associated with trauma had already placed her significantly behind her peers and added that there would likely be even greater challenges to raising the offspring of the man who attacked her. “This year has been hard in a lot of ways. We had to move to a new neighborhood, and my family life has been very, very bad, especially recently. My relationship with my stepdad is pretty much a nightmare. I wish I were responsible enough to look after a baby, but I’m just so scared that I won’t be. I’m really sorry.” At press time, Dunn had expressed hope that her unborn child would be friends with the babies of all her fellow pregnant classmates.

Are you sure it is white men punishing women? Many abortions and unwanted oregnancies are among the African American and Hispanic groups. It might not fit your narrative, but look at the men who create the need for abortions.

You are a racist POS

So if a black or Hispanic man commits rape, it is the fault of a white man. Gotcha.

That’s some willful ignorance right there. What you said isn’t true, but in a few months, if a black woman (or any other woman) wants to get an abortion in Georgia or Alabama (barring a few exceptions), she’ll be denied it or face prison because of white men.

Haven’t read all 19 pgs of this but how many abortions are gotten on average across ALL women in a leftime? I imagine the avg is like 0 or less than 1 right bc a lot of women never have an abortion, right? I just don’t see this as THAT big of a deal — if you live in Alabama won’t you just seek it out in FL now (as I imagine Mississippi and Tennessee have/will have similar laws)?

This law will affect poor people more than rich. Rich women will always have access.
