And why would you exclude players from the list? Are you doing that for the ECNL rosters too? This is a complete joke. You’re twisting yourself in knots to dispute what is right in front of your eyes. Go LOUDOUN!!!

Of course the roster looks great when you combine classes. Not the same back when these players were U14, U15. The benchwarmers on those teams are long gone.

That is the point. If you are not starting on the FCV U13, U14, U15 or U16 teams you won't make it to the roster above. You will be gone and your lack of minutes will leave you stranded.

When former kid 15 is on the EDP team their Junior year it will make sense.

By junior year, if still a soccer player, kid 15 will have become a starter for FCV, and if not, move then to be a starter at another GDA or a starter at one your cherished ecnl teams. Because there are only a handful of players in the area that could even make the FCV u14 or u15 team today. And by junior year the gap will only have grown due to the greater amount of training at the DA. And when the age groups split next year and u16 and u17 have their own teams, your argument weakens more.

Awww, I love your optimism! You honestly believe that the kids ahead of your daughter now are gonna fade? Puberty has already happened and it isn’t going to save your DD later if it hasn’t by now.

I also love how you think the coach will see kid 15 any differently in two years. As if she is suddenly going to pass the incumbent later on after they have been entrenched as starters for the previous 3-6 years already. Yours is a special kind of hope.

That’s a good one. Because I am not worried about anyone at ecnl being ahead of my daughter now and certainly not by the time it matters.

That is nice. They spent 4 years as a sub watching other kids play soccer. They will look back on their playing days with such pride. I’m sure kids at other clubs are shaking in their boots over the potential onslaught of FCV bench players coming to take their spots in 3-4 years. The FCV training environment couldn’t make them starters in their own club I’m sure starters elsewhere are real scared.

Your kid should play where she will both play and be seen. Playing and demonstrating not only the trust but the capacity to be a starter will serve your DD in the long run. Also, playing is more fun than watching other kids play.

Some kids really just need a change of scenery to flourish. The hard part is getting past ego and cutting bait.

Once again, no matter the club, if you are kid 15 at your current team you should consider going where you will both play and be seen.
