I think the FCV poster proves the point. This roster is for 2 classes - 2019 and 2020. Only 1/2 of these kids graduate in a given year. Therefore, you need to be starter to make it to a D1 program in any given class.

Lol. You guys really are clueless. almost embarrasing |
This roster is for two classes but ONE team. That’s why it was compared to same two classes at Loudoun. You are even trying to use your brain here. |
Excuses for everything. LOL. I wonder what you’ll be crying about a year from now. If the best players end up somewhere other than your club you’ll be crying about recruiting. If your club struggles, it will be someone else’s fault. Lol. |
And why would you exclude players from the list? Are you doing that for the ECNL rosters too? This is a complete joke. You’re twisting yourself in knots to dispute what is right in front of your eyes. Go LOUDOUN!!! |
Of course the roster looks great when you combine classes. Not the same back when these players were U14, U15. The benchwarmers on those teams are long gone. That is the point. If you are not starting on the FCV U13, U14, U15 or U16 teams you won't make it to the roster above. You will be gone and your lack of minutes will leave you stranded. |
Let us know what power school your sub player makes in 3-4 years of riding the pine. |
What power school is your kid attending big shot? |
When former kid 15 is on the EDP team their Junior year it will make sense. |
I’m quite certain my kid will end up in no worse a school than your kid and will have had fun actually playing soccer instead of watching. That is the point. |
Players 12-18 on FCV U14 will be on EDP the last two years of HS when rosters combine and hoping for D2 and D3 offers or no soccer.
Those same players could instead go elsewhere, start and make D1. |
By junior year, if still a soccer player, kid 15 will have become a starter for FCV, and if not, move then to be a starter at another GDA or a starter at one your cherished ecnl teams. Because there are only a handful of players in the area that could even make the FCV u14 or u15 team today. And by junior year the gap will only have grown due to the greater amount of training at the DA. And when the age groups split next year and u16 and u17 have their own teams, your argument weakens more. |
How does your kid play for? |
