The teen stuck his hand between my legs and cupped my vagina as he walked past me, and I am still traumatized by it today at the age of 46. I didn't report it but I told my friends and sadly, we changed our behavior and didn't go back to the park.

Also, my friend was pinched on her rear by a white guy when we walked past him at a movie theater. He was seated. My friend didn't react because she didn't want her date\boyfriend to start a fight with the guy.

How is the race relevant? And really, you're traumatized 30 yrs later because someone cupped your vagina?

I've had several incidents over the years of a similar nature (including being grabbed by an Italian policemen), but no trauma from it. It's certainly not my fault that some people behave like animals.

Yes, I am still traumatized by it mostly because my family, my father and mother and grandparents had taken me to this amusement park for years. We had season passes that cost around $19 for the year. Going to this park was an important part of my childhood memories connected to 4th of July and Father's Day and concerts were held there. I saw numerous singers perform there. It wasn't just the physical violation. It was thr park changing from a safe place to be to have fun. It was also one of the first times I talked my parents into just dropping off me and my friends at the park, with my parents warning us about being careful and staying together. Blacks teens wandering around the park and harassing people ruined the park for families and other teens for a long time. They ruined malls that way, too.

If you're still traumatized after 30 years you should probably seek professional help.

This is a great piece from an African man living in Germany about these assaults: http://www.okwonga.com/how-to-deal-with-the-sexual-assaults-in-cologne/

The final paragraph:

So here’s what I propose we do. Why don’t we just start with the premise that it is a woman’s fundamental right, wherever she is in the world, to walk the streets and not be groped. And why don’t we see this as a perfect moment for men, regardless of our ethnic backgrounds, to get genuinely angry about the treatment of women in public spaces: to reject with fury the suggestion that we are somehow conditioned by society forever to treat women as objects, condemned by our uncontrollable sexual desires to lunge at them as they walk past. Let’s do our best to challenge the rampant misogyny which has gone on worldwide for far too long, and reject whatever lessons of sexist repression we may have been taught. Because women are tired of telling us about this, and exhausted of fighting a battle that for too long has gone overlooked.

So sad that the German people have to pay the price for Merkel's insanity of letting in hundreds of thousands of young men with no skills, no jobs, and with ideals that are inconsistent with Western civilization. Has anyone ever wondered what kind of people they must be to leave all of the women, children, and elderly behind to go to Europe just so they can live off of its generous welfare benefits? Enough is enough. They were already in a safe country (Turkey). They aren't in Europe for safety, they are there for money, and the European people simply don't owe them that on the backs of their hard-earned tax dollars.

I am not traumatized by it so much that it interferes with my daily life. This event in Germany brought back that violation. I avoid crowds with large groups of teens, whether black,or white.

You seem to know nothing about trauma. Most people do their best to cope with the consequences of trauma the best they can. It doesn't typically "go away."

What a damn shame that the German media tried to cover this up, perhaps ordered by politicians. Thank goodness for Twitter!

The Koln mayor suggested that women in public places need to stay at least an arm's length away from such men. The response from German's on Twitter has been to post "einearmelange" with right arm outstretched. Hmmm.

What a dumbass Koln mayor. Maybe he doesn't have a daughter, so doesn't care.

Not only that, the mayor is also supposedly a leftist progressive feminist. Shame on her.

Several words come to mind after reading your post: insensitive, hardened, ignorant, and unenlightened.

Hence the suggestion to seek out professional counseling. PP didn't sound like she was able to cope. You seem to know nothing about the benefits of professional counseling.
