Interestingly, I only recently heard of it. An B average senior with mediocre SATs just got accepted. It's tres expensive. Maybe the parents made a donation if it's that selective.

I would bet money that the student did not appear average on his or her application. The student probably had a lot more going for him or her than you realize.

This is very suprising. I've known a couple of kids who were excellent students & NMSFs who were not accepted. I'm guessing the senior you are referring to had some kind of major "hook" that you are unaware of.
