rejected at all 4 (ds scored 99% wpsi years ago, let's just say not the same for wisc iv)

we have an awful public school, i have no idea what we will do

Where is DC in school now? Any chances for OOB in your school system?

rather not say, but it is considered a very good school. OOB? it's not just our public school that is awful, it's the entire public school system. plan b is to apply at privates that have late application.

Good luck with the next rounds of apps. All best to you and your family.

F/A? Minority status?

Neither FA nor diversity. Not sibling. Not connected, not wealthy. Just lucky I guess.

PP. What's your first choice?

Not sure yet. Need to consider various issues with partner. Probably S.

Anonymous wrote:Hi everybody, I wanted to wish everybody good luck, I will be in your boat in a few years, but as I was looking through all these post I couldnt help but think to myself wouldnt it be nice if all this information was tracked somewhere in a spreadsheet and then we could look at the data as a whole and try to make some judgements. (I know its geeky, but I am geeky).

So I have created the outline of a spreadsheet in google docs. Its open access to everyone, so you can input whatever you want. I have no control.

I realize that by leaving it completely open that there is the potential for abuse by people with an ax to grind, but hopefully if everyone is just truthfull, maybe we can "pierce the veil" behind the admissions process of the schools and see if there were any trends at play. i leave that to you really smart statsticians out there. Also, if you feel there are more columns of info that are needed for analysis, please add.

What does "bump" mean?

Bring Up My Post. But you can use it to bump somebody else's post. It is intended to call attention to something that has gotten lost in a thread or a thread that has fallen off the first screen where someone is still hoping to get some info.

Yes, we were. And I am glad, considering how many people here are saying they are in NOWHERE. Gotta spread it around a little...

Good for you (and your DC), PP! Congratulations on your DC's acceptances.

Thanks PP...we are pleasantly surprised. We purposely did not apply to the big 3...the numbers are not on ANYONE'S side. It is craziness to put all your eggs in those baskets, especially when there are so many great little schools around!

Good luck to everyone

Sidwell - Rejected. AA Female and we asked for Financial Aid, WPPSI 86%. I wasn't expected to be accepted but still bumped. It was her favorite. GDS - Accepted. Not sure what we will do.
