I am less concerned about why GZ killed TM, I am more concerned about the reaction of the police.
WE ALL KNOW THAT IF TM looked like NATALEE HOLLOWAY, this would be a serious serious crime and GZ would be behind bars looking at the death penalty.
I ask you Americans, can you value my son's life the way that you value the lives of white women?

No. She's not holding all Americans accountable, but the police system. She's rightly disturbed that this police force seems to establish preferential treatment based on race. Had the victim been white, a higher priority may have been placed on investigating the prime suspect. Had the prime suspect been black, the police may have been more serious about following appropriate procedure. The police had a suspect in a potential homicide and did not administer any drug testing, did not do an immediate background check, took the suspect's word for a lot, and did not bring the suspect in for questioning to establish certain answers before he had time to dissemble and/or possible fabricate answers. Even if this suspect is guilty, he may walk free due to police incompetency and misconduct. That would be as bad a crime as what Zimmerman did...it would allow a guilty criminal to walk to streets and potentially murder again.

I believe the PP was speaking generally, not implying that all Americans think that way.

I'll be back later when I have more time to look for statistics that back the following thought up, but I believe nonwhites who commit physical crimes against whites (esp. white women) receive harsher sentences than other situations. Also, I don't think it can be denied that the most frequent "missing person" stories that dominate the media feature young, white women.

Zimmerman is not white

However, the fact that Zimmerman is a Hispanic, does not fit the narrative that the left-wing media wants to create.

Zimmerman is described by his family as “Hispanic,” and “multiracial.” He clearly has a Latino/Mestizo appearance. However, most media outlets are still omitting any picture of Zimmerman so that readers do not question the claim that he is white. Let’s look at what the latest crop of articles are saying.

ABC National News, March 18th: “Zimmerman, 28, who is white”
Chicago Tribune, March 19th: “George Zimmerman, 28, who is white”
Miami Herald, March 18th: “fatally shot by a white neighborhood”

I could only find one article out of several dozen I inspected that said Zimmerman was a Hispanic.

Last weekend black and Latino gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty in the city of Chicago alone. One of the fatalities is only six years old. One of the wounded is only one year old. Most of the perpetrators are still at large. This was not national news. So why has the Zimmerman/Martin story been a major nationwide sensation for weeks, with no let up in sight. Why does the media continue to hammer the line “George Zimmerman, a white man” over and over when he is not actually white?
