Is VDA the best club to get recruited from?

Sometimes those rejects can knit something together out of their broken spirits and fuel a few wins with the gasoline of raw anger but more often they play like cars that spent the night in Annandale and got a wheel stolen so now they just grind on three tires and an axle and pretend the fourth tire into existence. Like the “Island of Misfit Toys” from the Rudolph claymation Christmas movie. At least when colleges reject these players they already know what rejection feels like, so it’s good practice.

They will never be VDA. Or even sniff the same air as BP except when we have to let them come play on our pitch for a weekend.

Total rage bait post. Don't fall for it. However, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the dad's of kids at VDA would bend over and spread for a."prostate check" by some of the coaches.

Also rage bait.

Or honest opinion.

This team will grow and develop together (after all it is Virginia “Development” Academy) and will dominate the MA. Probably better than the historic 09 team, the Arlington Golden Girls, and any other team I don’t know about. Vamos!

This post is hilarious!
One midfielder will make a team.
Historic team?
Dominate?

Come on Dad... go back to football

Has to be one of the kid's parents.

I would bet good money it’s a parent of an Instagram kid. These types always get exposed when their “parent run” social media account highlight reels don’t match reality on the field.

Kind of seems like some astroturfing/troll impersonating a family.

Everyone else’s rejects? Broken spirits?? ROFLmao 2012s are #1 and 2013s are #2. And the 11s are only one game behind VDA. Please stop with the troll posts my guy/gal/ai. The colleges will decide utilizing their own assessments and bodies of work. Not instagram posts and meaningless ID call ups.

There are definitely no broken spirits. And no FOMO vibes at FVU.

CW has more game knowledge in his right toe than BP. And MV could outplay him on the pitch today. Expect the same results next year. Maybe even better results with a new coach.

You guys are hilarious. Between the power rangers recruited “super” teams and the BY/SY teams inherited teams (which honestly doesn’t feel fair) what are you actually developing. More like cherry picking talent from other clubs hard work. Maybe those “pathways” should lead to Fairfax. Players would at least have a real shot at making a team.

On the matter of “cherry picking”. You do realize the FVU U19 and U17 rosters have been turned over twice through the years? Meaning, like the entire roster has been replaced twice basically. Although they’ve not exactly been, Cherry picked, very few of those players originated at union. The once elite U16 FVU team is full of players from other clubs and are mediocre now. The FVU U15 is a really bad team and also full of players from other clubs, including VDA. FVU U14 is the prototype for success in the younger age groups. Talk to me when they are 16 and can’t muscle everyone off the ball and playoff puns and set pieces.
FVU U13 are 90% McLean and a great U13 team.

I have sympathy for you. Your faith in CW makes it sound like you think it’s 2016. It’s not.

No comment on MV. Everyone knows the deal with MV and KJ. Leadership of the historically bad Fairfax brave thrown a lifeline due to politics to combine with Union and have now ran that into the ground. FAIRFAX BRAVE WAS LITERALLY THE WORST ECNL PROGRAM IN THE UNITED STATES.

BP was handed the keys to the kingdom, but he is running with it, and VDA brass are staying out of his way.

Your views on FVU are all emotion and lacking in any current roster knowledge. Come check out the talent like many colleges do regularly. Tech was there this wendesday even after a thunderstorm. We practice next wed at Oakmont Rec 6:30pm. Great facility with mini golf and driving range too if you want to spend the whole evening there. Troll with evidence, be informed.

I think Virginia Tech watched another club or two while they were in town? We’ll have social media. Your club isn’t special. Who else? GW? Hardly an accomplishment considering JW is being hailed as the FVU savior.

Which roster am I lacking knowledge on?

8th place 09s with at least 10 players added for this season?

Micro. Arguing this hard for a club/team you do nothing for except pay the bills. I'd be surprised if your kid is as passionate about running down other clubs.

Something we can all agree on!

If you rely on any club or league to get you recruited, you are wayyyy behind or you have no idea what recruiting is about.

Not the poster but this is my first go round as a parent. From what I’ve been told, athletes should constantly reach out to desired coaches and prepare highlight tapes. What else would you recommend? Goes without saying they should be training outside of practices.

The 12s are second and oh boy will they be a different team next year when the star moves to another club. The whole team exists to feed one stellar player. Without her they’re even worse than the VDA 12s. Who they couldn’t even beat!
